Got my frame and subframe back from powder. He matched the color spot on to my UFO plastics. It is a pinch darker in natural sunlight. Going to try and make some serious progress this week as i am off from work. Cylinder is at Derek Harris's being massaged a bit more. Only 400 more man hours to go.

Starting to finally see what the final result will be. Everything is just setting in place, so nothing is bolted down yet. But, I am getting pumped.

Pipe shipped today, just waiting on the cylinder and a few small misc bits. Plan on polishing the cases tomorrow and bolting the bottom end in place.

Thanks guys. Still waiting on my cylinder. No pipe yet. Cases are just about cleaned up. It has been 5 degrees for the high here lately...so my motivation is slightly lacking.

I'm loving this build. I can't get over how well the late 80s theme is working with this bike. So badass

There is how it sits. Need the cylinder and head to build the exhaust system. Hopefully be done by June.

Wildoner doesn’t have a working knee...So I do not have to worry about his yellow turd going by me this year...

FINALLY got my cylinder back. Set the exhaust on. The mounts for the expansion chamber will not be too bad to fab (bike is an 03 and pipe is only made for an '04). As you can see the silencer will need some work to get perfect. But, it does not appear to be a terribly difficult job. Engine will go together this week....Hopefully have the bike ready by the end of the month.

brand new shit and you're rigging it up. Team zip tie over here. Can't wait to kick this off the stand next time I see it.

Just picked up a 07 KX250 and wondered what do do with it. Your build thread inspires me. Love the gold rims, green frame, and the blue seat cover. Bike pops.
