Wanted to start this build thread 2yrs ago when i actually got the donor bike but decided to wait as i knew i was still a ways out from finding enough parts to keep me motivated to build it still. So 2 yrs ago roughly i found a total basket case far sale locally, bike had been for sale for over a year and i always looked past the add, until one day i took a closer look at the pics and spotted a few sr parts on it including the sr frame. It was a mad dash to go get it then ,once i had gotten the address from the seller i looked it up and realized it was in the middle of the worst neighborhood in watts in downtown l.a. needless to say i almost passed on going to get the bike ..... went anyways and when i got there i got a big surprise it was an sr frame probably an old race bike or practice bike that had all the good stuff taken off except for a few khi parts and bolts, best part yet the title was there matched engine and frame numbers and was in ricky carmicheals name....score....

Does the brake caliper feel really light compared to a stock one...in general?

I have always enjoyed the sound of this generation KX. They just sound perfect.
Great job.
