2001 Suzuki RM125 Rebuild/Restore

11/8/2020 8:47am
Built the wheels and calipers over the weekend, turned out pretty good.
Have started into the suspension this evening so should hopefully have that finished in the next day or 2.

Forks finished and installed.
I took the casting lines off the lower triple clamp, squared the edges a little bit and polished the shit out of the upper and lower.
Starting to make some good progress now, hopefully won’t take much longer to finish as I have a new project arriving over the weekend haha!

Thanks! I've been slowly kitting out over the past while, starting to look professional haha.

Progress.
Starting to look like a bike again and the to-do list is getting smaller.

Little bit more progress, finally assembled and fitted the shock which allowed me to fit the air box and subframe.
Not sure on my color choice for the spring but it doesn’t look too bad on the bike and matches the rims.

Got the next build sitting in the background

Let’s call this 97% complete.
Only things remaining are a new seat cover to fit, replace some bolts (triple clamp and axle pinch bolts) and a few little odds and ends.

Nice build! I have gone through several RM build threads here and have to say this is a great read and the photo's are really good. Theytell the story well. I can only hope that your health improves enough to rip on your project bike. I have an 03 RM125 and an 04 RM250. I almost sold the 125 recently but stepped away from the ledge and will not part with it.
Thank you for the inspiration!
