Hi guys ! Thought id try out this newfangled build section. I have been building this 95 cr125 for about 2 years now. Between working a full time job at a ktm and husky dealer and buying a new TC 125 i just haven't had the time to work on it. I know, excuses excuses haha. Ive been piecing it together these last couple months and its now fully running and working. Wish i took some pics of all nut and bolt restoration process but you can see from the before pics of how bad this poor bike got neglected. Once i washed and scrubbed off all of the dirt, spray paint and layers of green powder coat, i started to see at one point someone did actually care for it. Between the PC steel pegs, Boysen clutch and ignition covers, AC aluminum subframe it had some nice parts on it. The cases were split and left case was repaired from the chain snapping and hitting the case, new hot rod bottom end kit took care of the bottom end. Cylinder was honed and matched up to a B OEM honda piston and i cleaned the slag off the ports. Head was also resurfaced but was already in great condition.

Some before pics. I actually junked the original frame because the owner took a grinder to the frame and there on was basically ruined.

The bottom pic is how it sits now. The whole graphic kit and seat cover came from throttle jockey. I just recovered the seat and re-riveted the seat brackets. Bike currently has 96 cr250 forks and 97 shock. Maybe later on ill put twin chamber forks and crf brakes but as for now ill keep this stuff since the 46's are already an upgrade over the puny 43mm forks. Original forks were ruined internally and the 97 shock came from a friend. Every bolt was cleaned, refinished or replated. The frame was powder coated white and the power valve cover, clutch cover and ignition cover were powder coated wrinkle black. Just got my new Clarke tank in going to install my tank decals this weekend. Still waiting on my new PC works pipe and im going to send out my new R304R shorty to Pro circuit to put a stinger on it. I might sell it next year but not until i ride unadilla rewind on her ! Ill keep the thread updated with little things that i add.

Nice work. Previous owner wanted a Kawi, and couldn't find one? Wow. Some people should NOT be allowed to own motorcycles, or perhaps even procreate.

I kept thinking some how 2 builds were merged?

Nope just the PO being a tool and painting that poor bike green.

Nice save on this bike!

A lot of people really like the 1995 125 power wise.

Thanks Michael. Me and my dad have been restoring and flipping bikes since i was 10 or so and kinda of sucks that we didnt take pics of all these bikes we have restored. Weve probably done about 30 or so frame up restorations. This bike is mine and my dad has a 96 cr250 to match thats about half way done so that one will get a build run down when its done. My dad rode a 93 cr250 until 96 and a 96 until 2000 when he bought a brand new ktm 520. The 96 is special to him because it reminds of him of the good old days of racing the southwick national and holeshotting his qualifier race. Its significant to me too. The earliest memory i have is being picked up and put on my dads 93 cr250 with a nickel platted frame with #1 on it after he won a NESC championship. Think it was late 94 so i wasn't even one yet but that sure does stand out in my mind. Thats how my love for mx started. My introduction of the sport is kind of intertwined with the 93-96 Hondas. It was a great era

I appreciate all the kind works guys ! Some people rescue dogs or cats, i rescue MX bikes haha. I love fixing them as much as i do riding them and hopefully one day i can do that for a living. Im lucky that i have a father that has 35 years experience and forgets more than i know. I still learn something new everytime were in the garage and im 22 now.

Thanks everyone. Bike is up for sale now. Don't have to sell but I might for the right offer. Asking $6500 and can ship. If it doesn't sell it will look real good in my kitchen this winter.

Looks great. I may have to go that direction with my 95 as well. I really wanted to keep the Nuclear colored plastics but purple shrouds are hard to find.
