Cool!

Does the other side of the coil mount not need to be sanded down to bare metal? I did on a past build, but didn't really know if I should have or not.

Thanks for the additional video. The factory tool is quite interesting and different than the Kawasaki OEM tool. Kawasaki has flat bearing drivers, not cones.

Cool videos!

IF... I may make a few suggestions...

1. torque wrench

2. if using the tape to tape the end of the fork, go ahead and wrap past the ed of the tube, as it may damage the seals.

3. Grease / oil the o-rings before assembly. In my experience, they go together more easily with less chance of damage.

4. When removing the fork cap, DO NOT tighten the upper clamp. Tighten the lower clamp and leave the top bolts loose. The upper clamp bolts being tight is what helps to hold the cap on.

Keep up the great videos!

Hi, do you think the engine has enough electrical ground?(check video #13), because I see that the frame has too much paint in the area that is in contact with the engine. Also If the paint breaks when you are torque the bolts, the engine can be released in a few rides. I'm not criticizing your work, I learned many tricks since I started watching your videos, but I'm asking you about that, I don't know if I'm wrong but every day I can learn things about dirt bike restoration. In the picture a 2017 KTM 250 free ride frame for a sample.

That's an interesting thought. I've never had a problem though...

Awesome videos. Watched them all in just a couple of days. And like someone above said, they are really inspirational. Well done, both the restoration and the videos.

And owning (and having restored it myself) a WR500, I can't wait for your WR videos. Hope it's next.

Cheers.

Hey Tgo thanks for the kind words. Glad you enjoy the videos.

Let's see which is more popular - the WR or the CR?

Your WR is beautiful! Great job. I've always liked them, I think they look great.

Of the bike on your list I'd love to see another '93 YZ80 restored. I finished mine a few years ago...

Great update.....Nos pipe is great find...I knew you would not find an nos silencer.....rare as hens teeth....not sure what your plans are for this bike, but if it's to be ridden, that airbox to filter cage frame needs to sealed with a petroleum resistant glue, they sucked/leaked air at that joint, pulling dirt into the rubber boot before the air filter element. Very common on late 80"s early 90"s bikes of all manufacturers.....I would like to see the parts bill for this bike! Evo-MX for decals?

Thanks for the airbox tip! It wont be ridden much, if at all. Maybe once or twice for the video. If I was building a rider, I'd have done things differently.

Once the bike's done, theres a couple of vintage dirt bike shows here in Aus that i'll take it too. Then maybe it'll get ridden.

I did a parts bill list a few months ago and nearly had a heart attack.

New vid soon...
