Hey guys I thought I'd share my latest build. This time i'm attempting to document it with some YouTube videos.

It's a 1992 RM250 that I'm going to restore back to original (or close to it).

If you are interested in following the build, I'd suggest subscribing - in case I forget to update this thread.

Cheers!

As long as these restos take I can't imagine it's going much quicker filming it like this... kudos man!

PS. I want all those shrouds. That shit is awesome! Just found your insta account again, fuck man, you're killing it!

Thanks mate!

Filming and editing makes the process about 5x longer!

Great job with the videos mate, no nonsense, good editing and a great choice of bike to rebuild. Looking forward to the next part.

Thanks guys, I appreciate the feedback.

I make them about 5-10min in length, otherwise it's easy to get bored with it.

Cheers!

Thanks for sharing. Great videos. Makes me want to do something like that for my next bike. I love all the late 80s early 90s bikes.

Fun video! I think you spent more time video editing than I spent on my whole rebuild.
I worked in a multi-line bike shop in '92 and remember watching the new bikes rolling in with those crazy graphics. Opinions were divided, but it did seem daring and edgy at the time.

Great job so far, keep them coming!

I too loved the 91 & 92 RM 125 & 250's as these were my first big bikes coming off of the 80's, yes before there were 85's...

Making your own jigs is pretty impressive, I wish I had the tools and time to do some of that on my own. I am guessing that you have a mechanical engineering background?

Again, keep the updates and videos coming as we have subscribed to your YouTube!

Cheers

Hey thanks for the comments and I appreciate you subscribing!

You're correct, I do have an engineering background but all of the stuff in the garage is self taught - mainly by having a go and learning from mistakes! Smile

These are really informative, even if you are working on a different year bike. It's like a reality show about RM rebuilds.
What you are doing is way beyond my capabilities, but there are some things I can apply to my own project.

Agree with NorCal, and the vid's will be very helpful for those who aren't that mechanically inclined....(like me). Props to you QA. Wink

Whilst waiting on parts for this build, I thought I'd make a clutch holder tool the same as the Suzuki part.

Thanks guys!

Definitely don’t work in visual arts or anything. Just a DSLR camera and a computer and a lot of time!
