I decided to renovate my original pipe while waiting to buy a Pro Circuit works pipe.

He has some bumps and a bandage with a weld that is not very clean

Some paint stripper

After a few hours of brushing

The dressing with the solder is not very clean

Mounted on the bike I'm happy with the result and it cost me nothing

I also bought 3 reproduction of commercial posters from the CR series of 1992, now the garage looks like a museum Laughing
For those who have noticed, Honda inscriptions do not fit on the seat cover. I contacted the seller and it is a series defect, so he sends me a second free.

I'm happy with the result even with this old pot, I still have to invest money in the rims and spokes and the 1992 project will be finished Cool

Beautiful..... but I can tell you are getting a new pipe.. ha

Godcho did you have any difficulty getting front brake pressure after rebuilding it?
I rebuilt mine on that 95 with new Galfer lines, seals and what not and they still feel spongy. I’m thinking maybe I need to tap the rotor to get trapped air out. I have tried pumping and holding then opening the valve on the rotor. Oil does come out but I haven’t noticed a increase in firmness.
Any suggestions?
I just filled the fluids last weekend (coolant, gearbox oil, and brake fluid).
For the rear brake no worries, but for the front brake it took a lot of time. Can not have hardness in the lever and start the system hydraulically. I had to remove the brake hose screw next to the master cylinder to escape the air that was to be somewhere and now it's good.

I also fixed the frame protection right side. I think I would change the axis pivot of the brake pedal because I think he looks pretty tired and the pedal moves a little too much in all directions. I'm not at a ready piece now ...

The best luck I have had is back bleeding or reverse bleeding. Get a fat syringe at home depot in the bbq area, the ones they inject meat with and a tube that fits over the bleed valve and inject the fluid til it fills the line up to the reservoir. This way you push the air up, instead of forcing it down. Put the cap back on and then open up the bleed valve and bleed the brakes. Open valve, pump, tighten the valve. Usually after 4 cycles of this you have pressure and its not spongy.

I should add I do this with completely empty lines.

Your scooter is gorgeous BTW.

If I had covered what I did with my brakes in my own thread I could have received cool help like that.
Spongy as all get out. Completely empty everything. I know I have trapped air in the system. I used a pump to create a vacuum to help draw the fluid through. So I get fluid coming out the bleeder. So I know I have oil all the way through. All new internals for master cylinder and resivoir.
I’ll try the take off the cover and pump first. Next I’ll try back filling. The roach 1992 CR 250 I have is like a 1 finger front brake on it. There’s like no to little play. Frustrating.
I hope my rear is just as easy as yours Godcho. Thanks for the update and as usual looking great.

Godcho did you put in those new seals on both side of the foot brake? I purchased a new bolt like you since I had lost my old one when we welded in the mounting tabs for my case saver and skid plate. My brake has no slop in it. I also used that spring kit by FAST to get rid of the spring from frame to pedal. That is a simple item to install.

I love your frame protectors. I will reread your thread to see about possibly getting some myself.

I cannot overstate how nice it is when you get it done. You will have like me a brand new motorcycle that YOU built.
Every seal, bearing, cable on mine has been replaced like yours. I will linger in my garage just looking at that Honda.

I look forward to seeing the rims on.

No I did not change the seals because I find them overpriced per unit (9$).
I just have 1 on both but I think that does not change much.

I have used both 2012 and 2016 Yamaha YZ450F pegs, the 2016 is what is pictured and they are slightly wider than the 2012 set. I generally try to buy new take offs with the springs and pin as they work as a direct replacement. We have these on our 87 and 89 CR-250’s plus 89 CR-125.

I finally was able to get my front bled. I changed out to a used piston and seals since I wanted to take one from a functional unit. I can’t even explain what I did to get it done.
Since I have at least 3 more front brakes to do I will try back bleeding on the next.
I look forward to your next installment.

Oh good news so!

The renovations are a little slow because I had surgery back (herniated disc) so for the moment a lot of rest.

I'm not sure: I already wanted to order from CGH. You can order a pipe even if they do not have it in stock. You are charged and you have to wait for long weeks and months before a possible inventory update. As long as Pro Circuit does not have much order of this pipe, a production is not restarted.

I actually just tried to order a PC works pipe from them two days ago for my '95 CR125 build and got a call today that there is no stock.

I need your opinion guys: I just got this HRC ignition case for 125 CR.
I know there is a lot of HRC parts expert on Vital Mx so can you tell me if it's a real or a replica? Thanks Wink

The letters are equally spaced. Its a replica. On the word RACING the letter A undercuts the C on an actual HRC piece.

So you know for future reference. Here's an actual magnesium HRC cover from my friend Tokyo Tiddlers bike. You can see how the A and C line up.

Indeed with the picture I understand better now. I imagine this cover HRC must cost a minimum of $ 250?

A tmv replica in new shape is $250. Not sure the actual price as anything HRC related is expensive. Even replica stuff
