2 weeks ago I bought this 1989 yz250 for $1500.00. In some pieces but mainly together. Cylinder was off, base gasket torn. Included was what looked like a stock piston and rings that were too big for piston. Plastics were old, dirty and broken. Missing many screws and nuts to assemble. Starting point was cylinder. My friend machined down the rings to fit and had to order acorn head nuts. Radiator cap was missing, found numbers for autozone 7013 and got 8 dollar cap that didn't fit. Went back ordered cap for 89 civic that fit part 7513. Got it running yesterday and it took me an hour to kill it. Piston too tight in cylinder , scored cylinder badly. Last night ordered wiseco 20 over piston. Ordered and got, pirelli tires, odi grips, UFO plastics, brake pads, rear shock bumper, bolt kit, acorn nuts, radiator cap. Next is bore from local shop. Not sure how to sinc up photos. Chk my profile

My white gas tank is stained dirty. Then I ran into a forum comment that uses a hydrogen peroxide hair care product to whiten tank. His example was terrific. Gonna try it an let u all know.
