Seeing as my 04 RM125 is wrapped up, and singing her bubble bee song, another project had to take her place.
Picked up a 99% original and complete 1989 YZ250 from a local buddy (date stamped original front and rear tire), and am super excited to see where this goes. With the sale comes a full set of Team Chesterfield graphics/seatcover, which I would like to save for a trip to the Vet Mx De Nations in a couple years. In the meanwhile, I’d like to make this thing into a wicked “modern” Evo Class moto bike to turn some chocolate cake on, and hopefully embarrass a 450 or two Wink
I’ve got a set of WR500 forks being modified to accept the YZ fork guards, and should have those ready to be stripped and coated in the next week or two. Initial tear down went well, less the filthy carb, but it fired right up after a thourough cleaning.
Pumped on this find, and super excited to see which direction this heads in. Any input is always appreciated, and any leads on some special goodies for it always helps.

Very cool. I have been thinking about pulling the trigger on a 1987 yz250 roller.
