I have been building my 89 cr250 for the last year and a half while racing it at the same time, but now is a good time to post little sneak peeks of what I'm doing since Im out recovering from a dislocated shoulder after crashing and breaking this bike.
Slightly bent subframe and a silencer that mounts no more:
Didn't get pictures of the bars or plastics but they were are also bent or broken.

But it's ugly looking when the plate sits this far out.
Or, Reverse the bracket.
Trim whatever you need to off it so it fits.
You've enough length to the drop, to perhaps put a dog leg in it the put the contact point further back.
A nice bit of aluminium angle would be far nicer, but you know that. Do what you can with the steel (it looks it) bracket, to do the nice aluminium bracket, perfectly.
Even after decades of fabrication / frame making, I'll often do a 'bodge up', with crap materials, to establish a base point for what I Really want out of an item.
I know I'm not explaining it very good, sorry.
Also added some factory HRC shroud decals.
The subframe was slightly bent from my crash, so I unbent it. I also needed a new silencer so I got a 92 cr250 silencer with a stinger tip.

Looking forward to seeing your finished bike. I really love the 88' 89' Honda 250s.
And a brake line
Next thing on the list is get the front hub powder coated black and lace it up to a vintage gold rim.
