Just picked this up yesterday and will be doing a complete restoration this summer on it. Raced one of these back in high school. Hard to find.

Good clean bike to start with. Much better than my -86 CR 125 when I started building it

I'm guessing clutch side magnesium cover will be rotten around water pump area. If you need new clutch cover check out this website http://www.crclutchcovers.com/

There is a Facebook group for -86 CR's which is basically the same bike. You might want to check out that too https://m.facebook.com/groups/160638920757187?tsid=0.9155334671525213&s…

Not being critical but a Honda CR85 shock bumper is typically better sized for the older shocks. It's also larger in diameter which gives better bottom out resistance. Best part is that they are around 10 bucks!

Oh good to know, that's what Race Tech recommended and what I has in stock. Good info for future use.
