With all this sitting around waiting for moto to start back up I wanted to see about switching parts from my old bike to my new bike. I have an 09 Yz450f that has a lot if goodies on it. If I can swap them to my 18 YZ450f I want to do so before I sell the 09. I was wondering if someone here could help me figure out what is interchangeable. I have the following in the 09:
- Talon Hubs
- Magura Hydraulic Clutch
- Applied Racing Tripple Clamps
- Hinsen Clutches
- etc.

I'm most curious about the Talon hubs. Any help would be appreciated.

Rear hub yes, Front hub no.
The front is different? I saw a couple sites that had 08-19 listed for front wheel sets. I was a little hopeful. Thanks for the info.

The axle diameter changed off the 4 strokes in 2014. I believe they went from 20mm to 22mm.

sometimes aftermarket hubs can be used on both with different bearings+spacers

the hubs can switch over, its done with different bearings and spacers/seals etc. i just went through this putting 09 yzf wheels and hubes on a 2019 yz250f. i also adapted 18 yzf hubs to a 05 yz250 (09 4 stroke swingarm/rear axle)

the triple clamp will bolt on if you use the 2018 stem the top clamp is 56mm on the 09 and 54mm on the 18, you will have to run a 1mm aluminum shim/spacer in the top clamp to use the 18 forks. and if your billet clamps are 25mm (stock 09 offset) dont bother putting them on the 18 itll steer like crap
