I'm still in School so its been sitting at home in Texas teasing me.

Awesome man! My pops loved his 15! Don’t let people scare you. Download the showa app on your phone for base fork settings. You’ll be good to go!

Couple of things added to it! I finally got home from scho ol so this weekend it's time to moto! Works Connection Rad Braces, some blue hozes I found on Ebay for like $30, bling parts that add 5 horsepower! I'm itching to buy a Pro Circuit pipe and clutch over I just can't bring my self to waste so much money on something like a Pipe.

Forgot to update this but I made this RMZ look awesome. I found some 2018 RMZ wheels for $300, wheels sprockets and rotors included.
High Pressure radiator cap because it runs hot during the Texas summers
Pro Circuit Clutch Cover
Cycra front rotor guard
Gold MX rain chain with 1 tooth higher in the rear.
I also got the suspension pretty dialed in for a stock bike. Definitely not the worst stuff I've ever ridden. I only get to ride every couple weeks because of school but its my favorite moto bike i've ever owned.

Need some advice,
I'm trying to find a 2008+ CRF master cylinder to get my front brake better. I have a 270 rotor, new pads, fresh bleed, but its just not good. So i found this on ebay.. LINK And obviously it looks like a knock off. But will it do the job? For $16 do i try it?

I wouldn't. Brakes are a pretty critical safety feature, Would you risk it for $16?

I’m running a $16 front master cylinder on an old CB500t street bike and it works great.

Little Update on the Slowzooki!
I found a $50 CRF master Cylinder and it is much better than the Stock Cylinder. The problem I'm having is the lever is kind of long and i run twinwalls so i dont have very good leverage on the lever because I'm pulling on the inside of the lever. Anyone have some tips to fix this?

Hard to believe that I was able to pick these up as a broke kid, but I think I got the deal of the century.

I traded this used FMF Powercore 4 and Powerbomb for this full setup from a guy in New York.

After riding some offroad races with the air forks, it just wasn't going to work.

Pretty excited to get these forks Valved and Sprung and ready to rip! I'm slowing getting ready for the Perry Mountain 24 Hour Challenge in June in the Ironman class on this bike. The Ohlins is going to help a ton for that! Obviously added the oversized tank and handguards. And now that I traded my FMF I'll go back to the Stock exhaust. I realzied that I hated the way the bike rode with that FMF on though. Way to snappy and loud. Anyone else feel the same way?

Yeah I came out way ahead! Getting my guy to refresh it for me. Can’t wait. The suspension, clutch, and front brake are truly the only things holding this bike back. Maybe I can trade a used tire for a full hinson next time!

And yes, the bike has held up well. Unfortunately I don’t have a ton of time to ride due to school, but I spend my free time cleaning and taking care of parts.

Little sneak peak for anyone that likes Suzuki’s with Ohlin’s.

If I was riding woods and racing GNCC style stuff I would probably hate the Mega Bomb and 4.1 setup because it does make a huge difference down low. Riding moto stuff and trails/desert every so often, I do love that setup. Especially coming from a 14 YZ450. The stock pipe setup on the RMZ makes everything smooth and almost feel slow, even though it really isn't at all. You will probably love the stock exhaust for what you do.

Ohlins shock was the first to arrive back from my suspension guy. Looks great. Got it resprung and rebuilt, and he might have moved some shims around.

Here’s something I don’t like much. The bottom shock bolt-nut is just a little short. It doesn’t look like the lock ring on the nut is even far enough on to lock. The stock shock has a divet for the bolt to sink just a little bit closer so there are more threads sticking out for the nut to go on. Do y’all think this is okay?

Wow. Just riding this around the block and hitting a curb you can tell these forks and shock are not even close to the stock air fork and Showa shock. Haven’t even set sag or anything and the bike is plush plush plush. Kind of seems unfair how smooth the ride is now!

And the bling factor isn’t too bad either🤩

After lots of research and homework on how to run lights on an RMZ I figured it out! Bought a cheapo Universal light off amazon just to long term test the durability of new the harness and switch from Baja Designs. Lighting Harness BAJA DESIGNS Baja Designs thought that is was a plug and play harness, but it isn't quite so easy. You have to get another set of connectors from them to run it into the capacitor connector. Depinned those and repinned with another set of BAJA connectors and its good to go.
Cheapo Headlight
Just waiting on a set of weatherpack connectors from amazon to tie it all together, but i tested the light and it runs good so im happy.

On my 14 I found the two-wire connector near the steering head and simply wired a headlight into that. I added an on/off switch and a switch with one side containing a resistor that cut the voltage to 6 bolts as a “dim” switch and it worked great.

Better yet would be to add a small battery of some kind and hook it into the charging system that would keep the headlight a constant brightness. I’ve heard of some using the very flat kind used in rc car racing.

That’s a really cool bike man. Despite being oldschool I think the RMZs are great bikes.

Hey just messaged you. I wanted to get some more information on the light setup. Just ordered the enduro engineering harness and light from Amazon. I wanted to see if you would show what specific connectors and weatherpaks I needed thanks

Man that looks sweet with the light on! I did the same to a new ‘98 KX250 back in the day for the enduro nationals!

Did some racing and updating over the past few months. Also graduated college and am starting a new career in real estate in Austin, so I had to put perry mountain on the back burner and try and next year once I’m settled.

The crappy cheapo headlight broke and I decided on going with the Acerbis Elba 2 because I really like the vintage look. Plus it’s much more sturdy. I moved my ecu to above the transmission because it’s too close to the headlight to make it fit. It’s worked well so far. No problems yet.

The ohlins failed at an enduro and I actually lost my dust seal mid test and dumped oil everywhere. I finally figured out after awhile that the fork guard was pulling the blue slider down and eventually yanked the dust seal down, so I trimmed the plastic to keep that from happening again. After a race this past weekend, I realized this is a killer off-road bike and really stable. Hoping to do the shady burro enduro in Colorado in august if I’m off the ground in my professional life.
