I'm not going for the polished look. Trust me, after looking at some of the other builds around here, I thought about investing in a bench polisher, soda blasting, and cabinet etc. But after thinking about it, my first wet sloppy spring ride would make all that seem worthless.
Looks great! What did you us on the carb to clean it?

Hey lumpy, do you know of a place that sells grommets for the t hose and frame? Not too worried about mine, but I think it would look clean

Just a bath of hot tap water and simple green. Let it soak for 10-15 min and scrub with a toothbrush. I love simple green, use that $hit on everything.

Also interested in some grommets to go around the coolant tee. I saw someone cut and modified the old ones to fit, but I already threw mine away. It's open on the bottom from the factory, so either way mud and water will get in there.

Have it's first ride planned this Monday at the Cedar Lake indoor arena. Just gotta tighten the chain, and change some fluids. Had to put the stock pipe back on, my FMF one got too twisted on the last fall ride. I'll see if I can straighten it, otherwise I'll order a new one. Always used a Fatty, might consider the Gnarly pipe next. Slowly becoming a woods bike...

I actually like the 15 KTM Factory replica kit. It's only $100, and comes with a lot. I ordered a second set, so now I have backup decals. Went the cheaper route, already had some new plastics form years ago. Didn't want to order another full set.

Here's what it looked like when I brought it home four and half years ago:

This is how it sits right now:

I’m literally in the middle of rebuilding my own 2015 SX250. Lost on what to replace & buy. But seeing yours has given me some ideas! Thanks!

Installed a KTM hard parts skid plate today. It was only $25 on ktm-parts. Gotta protect the new frame coating. Bolts up like it was original from the factory. Supposed to be easy on and off, even though I had to remove the exhaust pipe.

Pretty tight fit between the exhaust pipe

Orange, can you shoot me that link for the part number? I've been looking at the exact skid plate but now it's showing 89.99.

Also, if you want to offload the spare swingarm and WP fork decals, I'd buy em off of you.

KTM part # 54803190100
I'll keep the extra decals for now, I plan on wearing them out. Cool

Just swapped the old T Hose to the NEW better flow Y Hose on my 450 last night.

Making molds and production run of small plugs would be very expensive ..... but thinking about it.

Would you pay $30-$40 for 2 small plugs to fill the gaps?

Honestly I probably wouldn’t pay that much. After installing, it doesn’t look bad. Thanks for the response
