I'm about to do the throttle jockey 1-800 collect replica kit on my bike and was wondering if I should start with the seat cover first? then shrouds and tank? or start front to back? also any special tips/tricks on doing the seat cover since this will be my first try at it and don't want to waste the money i spent on it? some people say start at the front and work my way back on the seat? others say start in the middle? do i use any spray adhesive? THANKS FOR THE HELP

Will throttle jockey install for you? I would send my parts to them and have them if they will.

No spray adhesive, you’ll ruin the foam.

I prefer starting at the front and MAKE SURE YOU HAVE IT CENTERED! If you mess up the first time, you should be able to have another go at it if you don’t mangle the cover pulling the staples out.

You’ll also probably need a pneumatic stapler; at least I did. My M12 stapler couldn’t penetrate the seat base.

I installed the seat cover and seat first. Then the tank/shroud graphics. The Throttle Jockey stuff is so good it was actually super easy to get near perfect with little effort.
