Just picked her up this morning from Sumdood! Awesome guy! Ordered a piston and gasket kit for it along with an oem plastic update kit from RM. I can’t go all out like most of you, but I’ll do what I can with my budget!

Here’s some pics. I already adjusted the bars, changed some bolts and adjusted the levers for me. I’m really stoked for this!

IMO the YZ250 is one of the most solid bikes you can buy. I had a 2008 that I paid $2300 for in 2012, and it had less than 20 easy hours on it.

I let my ego get the best of me and sold it since I didn't feel as fast or as safe...meaning I just wasn't as fast and felt sketchy on it. Sometimes I sit and look at the GD $9300 KTM I have in my garage and think to myself "man I wish I still had that $2300 YZ250."

Good luck to you on your build!

Oh man, you sold it?? That was such a steal! I picked this up for $1500. Sold my 14 YZ450 on Friday. Trying to buy a house and the deal was if I sold my 450, I could pick up a yz250 as long as most of the money went away for the house. Prices for yz250's are out of control here. 02-03's for $2300+ all day long, and I wanted an aluminum frame. I'll feel way better if this bike sits for months without being ridden. I couldn't do it with the 450. $9000 450 sitting for months at a time didn't set well with me haha.

I'll have some stuff on Wednesday, then I'll be ordering graphics for it. Pipe will come after that, just not sure if I want to go PC or FMF yet.

Oh man!!!!! If I had the money for the wheels, I'd be all over this look.

Some swear by the DEP pipe, I run a fatty just cause my kid had 20% off when he raced. I'll try the DEP when I need a new pipe

I'm going to stick with the FMF. I've never had an issue with them and I love the look of the Factory Fatty. I have heard great things about the DEP though

Thanks man that’s awesome. That bike with the aluminum frame is going to look sweet with the restyle kit

Looking good! Still can’t decide if I want the restyle shrouds or the old style

I think if you’re keeping the older style side panels, stay with the older style shrouds. I think it would looks weird with the restyle shrouds

She’s together! Just need graphics, a new clutch cable and spacers for my other set of wheels. Next I am going to take off the tank and wash it really well before putting in the new top end

I don't know why, but I love clean bikes with no graphics (Zesiger 112). When I had my Gas Gas's I took the graphics off my practice bike... Made me feel "Factory".Laughing

Sumbloke looked after that well.Silly

Looks like on your front number plate also they are always shipped with the cable guard strap thing bent to like a 90 degree so it turns all white. Mine was like that too. It’s like they don’t care when they pack it up. Leave it flat so it looks blue when it gets to the person who paid good money for it.

Actually it only recently did that. Probably from switching plates and take it off and putting it back on so much over the last few months. It came off of my 14 450 lol

I’d be pissed too. It’s not like their $10. That’s a bummer man
