Vital World Tour: Freestyle Motocross in China

Yep, SMP recently held its annual Shanghai Showdown at the SMP Skatepark in Shanghai, China, and a trio of Aussie freestylers put on a show for the assembled riders and fans. Vital BMX's Mark Losey was there to cover the BMX portion of the trip, and sent back these photos of Luke Cole, Brett Sutherland, and Joel Brown.

Check out the skatepark (dubbed the largest in the world) in the background of some of the shots. Mark reported, "Four U.S. riders were invited to compete this year including Mat Hoffman, Dennis McCoy, Koji Kraft, and Joe Rich. With the most amazing park on the planet to play in, the riders were not very concerned about placings—they were all having too much fun shredding the park."

The freestyler MXers reportedly also took to the park a bit, dropping into the Mondo Bowl, with its 15-foot walls.

The only thing Mark was a little sketchy on was identifying the riders (no doubt having about as much luck as we'd have ID'ing some of the top BMX talent), but the shots are cool and definitely worth a look. Thanks, Mark!
