Vital MX Pit Bits: 2022 Unadilla National 2

Check out the latest and greatest from on track and around the paddock at the ninth round of 2022 AMA Pro Motocross Championship, from Unadilla.

Aaron Plessinger swapped something on his bike we haven't seen done at KTM in quite a while...

Do these forks look like the ones are your own personal KTM? Well, that's because they are! Instead of the big works 52mm cone valve XCT forks the team is infamous for using, Plessinger has opted to run a set of 48mm stock XCT AER forks. Yes, stock air forks but tuned to Aaron's liking.

We've all been here...

The BarX Suzuki team had a full house at Unadilla with five riders total.

The team has a solid look these days.

Chase Yentzer was the newest edition, turning pro at Unadilla and having ridden for the team in amateurs for a couple years now.

The BarX crew had some new triple clamps this week for most of their guys. Finally opting away from stock clamps to this split design by Ride Engineering.

Jerry Robin pulling down the unique sponsors again.

Dean Wilson is back and so is his tall / winged seat.

Another view of the GUTS winged seat.

You don't see this everyday.

Snack Mac? That's in reference to Cameron McAdoo's fiance.

Notice the rider doing a superman that's ghosted in Jett's jersey?

Sexton's machine will see the return of the red plate in just a few days time.

W were curious to see after all the success that Sexton and Gajser are having with the BRFC shock, if Ken Roczen would follow suit. However, that's a negative, Kenny at Unadilla is still on the standard kit shock.

Ken Roczen wasn't the only ride at HRC who opted for handguards, as Jett Lawrence joined him.

Still rocking the shorty Yosh head pipe. We want one...

Looks like the HRC crew may have found a new style electric water pump to use or just a new way of packaging it on the bike.

This still makes us chuckle..

The #12 of Shane McElrath sure has had a unique year, as he moves to his third team of the season with the ClubMX crew.

Spring forks for McElrath.

Wonder what it says under the Romano heat transfer...

Been waiting all Summer to see the #1 on track and he didn't dissapoint.

All season, the bike has been on display with a red number one plate but before going on track, the red backgrounds were swapped for white.

Gilly doing some morning tweaking.

After working with Star Racing's in-house 250 suspension tech during Suprcross, Dylan returns to KYB's technicians and works components for outdoors.

Works shock instead of kit, same as what is found on Eli Tomac's machine.

Eli Tomac's red plate is being returned to Chase Sexton for Budds Creek...

Ryder DiFrancesco made his return to the pro ranks and will run the last four rounds for the PC squad.

As with all riders at Pro Circuit, Ryder is running Renthal Twinwalls.

DiFrancesco not only returns to the pro ranks but also the pro bike. While there's a lot of talk about amateur ranks and pro engines being used, everything we know points to Team Green still abiding by the spirit of am racing and having a fairly more conservative bike in compared to the true PC machine.

Malcolm Stewart's Husqvarna getting its charge on between on track sessions.

Roczen represents what most people looks like when they think they're whipping like Ferrandis is.

It's not just whips that are thrown over the Skyshot.

HEP is having a rough outdoor season...

Joey Savatgy was rocking some of the newly released gear from the crew at Fly Racing.

Another look.

J-Coop's bike is still a bit unique to the other under the Star 250 tent.

Nate Thrasher has taken a page out of his teammate Levi Kitchen's book, adding the StegPegz to the side of his bike, right in front of the side panels.

Peace! See you all next week.
