Super Spoiler: Pala Raceway

Ryan Dungey (Rockstar Makita Suzuki) may not have holeshot either moto, but he was first to the finish line each time, capping off a season where he clinched the title two complete races early. Like much of the rest of the season, his biggest challenges came from the Honda-mounted duo of Andrew Short (Honda Red Bull Racing), and Brett Metcalfe (GEICO Powersports Honda), who were still in a battle for second and third overall in the series. Shorty won the battle, but lost the war, finishing second overall with a 3-2 score, to Metty's 2-3. Metcalfe finished five points ahead in the final standings.

In 250cc action, the much-anticipated battle between Trey Canard (GEICO Powersports Honda) and Christophe Pourcel (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) had the two riders only seven points apart heading into the day, and Pourcel holding the advantage.

Dean Wilson (Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki) holeshot the first moto and was running away, but the attention for the championship chase was a little further back, as Pourcel was running in fourth and Canard fifth. After five laps Canard had closed on Pourcel and was looking to make a pass, but grabbed a bit too much throttle and went down. Things were looking bleak for Trey. But with three laps remaining in the moto, Pourcel went down, injuring his right shoulder, and effectively ending his chances for the title.

Moto two was much like the first, with Dean Wilson and Tyla Rattray making it a Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki 1-2, and Canard taking third and clinching the 2010 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross 250 title.

With a win in the first moto, Jessica Patterson (DNA Shred Stix / Star Racing / Yamaha) locked up the WMX title over Ashley Fiolek, which was a good thing, because in moto two, Jessica went down, reinjuring the ribs that she'd damaged at the X Games earlier this season. Ashley Fiolek's 2-1 gave her the overall, but Patterson's 1-2 was good for second, and the sixth number one plate in her career.

After a little confusion on the scoring, Vicki Golden (MotoConcepts Yamaha) was awarded third spot, rather than Troy Lee Designs / Lucas Oil / Honda's Tarah Gieger, who'd appeared on the podium.
