2013 Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross
Round 6 – Moto-X 338 National

Ryan Dungey (Red Bull/KTM) took his second overall win in a row, and even made up a few points in the 450 title chase after a 1-2 day at Southwick.

Ryan Villopoto (Monster Energy Kawasaki) went down in the first turn, and then crashed again later in the first moto, and was still very close to catching the leaders at the end of moto one.

Justin Barcia (Team Honda Muscle Milk) used a pair of thirds to grab third overall in the 450 class.

Brett Metcalfe was the surprise of the final National at Southwick, as he made his return to U.S. action with a fifth and a sixth in his two motos.

Andrew Short (BTO Sports/KTM) nearly took a moto one win after James Stewart crashed out of the lead. Shorty was flying at Southwick.

The skies opened up just before moto two of the WMX action was headed toward turn one. Sara Pettersson (32) ended up with the holeshot.

Mackenzie Tricker (Rock River) had injured her knee at High Point, but showed that it hasn't slowed her much as she led for good bit in moto two. Jessica Patterson (N-Fab/Ti-Lube/Yamaha) came back to win both motos.

Coming into Southwick, Sayaka Kaneshiro (Team Honda Muscle Milk) had a good points lead, but the sand was a bit unkind to her, and after finishing seventh in moto one, she and Jessica Patterson were pretty much tied. That made the final moto the decider.

Jessica Patterson grabbed another crown, and will hang up her boots on the motocross side, but will still be racing GNCC events, X Games, and more.
