Photo Gallery: Best of Supercross 2009

Covering the 2009 Monster Energy Supercross events was like a 17-week adventure series, mostly because you never knew what was going to happen next. From the first round at Anaheim 1, when James Stewart and Chad Reed crashed together, all the usual predictions were out the window. Yep, it was part show, part clinic in technical riding skills, and definitely a large portion of endurance contest. Covering the series from week to week can be a grind, but it's also a treat to be able to shoot. Whether it's the track crew, the riders in action, equipment and how the mechanics put it together (and keep it running), it's amazing just how much hard work goes into it it all.

In the past we used to limit it to the on-track action, but we've also included shots here from our Pit Bits galleries, and we hope you dig it. (You'll find the link below, under the thumbnails.) Whether it was crowning two new Lites regional champions with Ryan Dungey and Christophe Pourcel, or checking out the battles between James Stewart and Chad Reed, there was no shortage of things to shoot during the season. We're already gearing up for the '09 outdoor season. Bring it on!
