Whether it's motocross or Supercross, this fast Floridian is an equal threat. But the terrain in Lake Helen is mostly made up of sand, sand, and…well, more sand. That's why he brought in enough clay to build his own track, and while it may lack the full width and country club looks of some of the more expansive facilities we've seen, it gets the job done for him, as well as a host of privateers who stopped by this week. While we were there, Chris Whitcraft, Zach Ames, and Brock Sellards were putting in laps, and Matt and Heath Voss had spent much of the two previous days dicing back and forth.

A couple weeks ago, Matt was tied for the series lead with his Yamaha of Troy teammate, Ryan Morais, but a tough race in Daytona, with a crash on the first lap dropped him to fourth in the standings. Look for him to be battling back this weekend in Orlando.

At the St. Louis Supercross, Matt exited the track during practice, and landed on the concrete floor, tweaking his wrist and elbow. He still ended up on the podium.
