History Has Been Made: Ryan Sipes - First Ever American Winner of the ISDE! 7

Michael's Take: A massive congratulations to Ryan Sipes, who has become the first ever American to overall win the International Six Day Enduro! After an extremely tough week that saw fellow top USA rider, Kailub Russel, go out with an injury, Taylor Robert become disqualified then let back into the event, plus Thad Duvall's bike breaking and ultimately ending USA's chances of winning the event as a team. During all of this, the team rallied behind Ryan as he battled for the lead day-in and day-out in an impressive showing that is remarkable considering he's still trying to master off-road after his transition/retirement from full-time Motocross racing. Ryan, you've made it! Proving people wrong in the best way, standing on top of the podium in the world's most prestigious off-road race, and creating history at the same time.
Destry Abbott: Huge congrats to @r_sipes for being the first American to win the ISDE!!! This event has been going on for 90-years and it's so cool to see an American finally win it! Ryan is a great guy and I'm super happy for him! I know our American Trophy Team had a lot of bad luck and would've been right there for the win too! This is such a huge event and it's really cool to see how far Team USA has come over the years! Awesome job to all the ISDE finishers and congrats to France, Australia, and Spain on the podium finishes (Trophy Team). Next year Boys! You guys are right there! : @offroadpaparazzi #isde #fimisde2015 #ryansipes #teamusa #mx #offroadracing #slovakia
