Finally Official: Eli Tomac Moves to Monster Energy Kawasaki

Vital MX - We're here, live at the 2015 AIMExpo, where Kawasaki has finally announced their 2016 Supercross/Motocross team lineup. The presenter just announced what we've all been hearing for months, Eli Tomac will join the Monster Energy Kawasaki squad, along side returning rider Wil Hahn for 2016. Eli Tomac and his longtime mechanic, Brian Kranz, are both making the switch for next year.

In an off-season without too many team changes, this is of course the largest team announcement as Eli Tomac has rode for the Geico Honda squad since his pro debut in 2010. Where he of course won in his rookie outing at Hangtown. Eli is still recovering from his shoulder injury he acquired at Thunder Valley this year, so we won't be seeing him lineup on his new KX450F until the opening round of Supercross in 2016 at Anaheim 1.

Amongst the team announcements, it was also confirmed that the Monster Energy/Pro Circuit Kawasaki team will retain their same five riders for 2016. Meaning we'll be seeing Adam Cianciarulo, Tyler Bowers, Joey Savatgy, Arnaud Tonus, and Chris Alldredge all back under Mitch Payton's tent this next year, along with the possibility of seeing Austin Forkner make his debut with the team before the year is over.

This announcement was set inside of Kawasaki's presentation here at the AIMExpo, so we expect more information within the next few hours. Make sure to check back for the official press release at 9 A.M. PST.
