Ashley Fiolek (American Honda/Red Bull/Alpinestars) took her third overall win of the season with a 3-1 score over Sherri Cruse (Malcolm Smith Suzuki/Zip Ty Racing) who tallied a 4-1, and Jessica Patterson (American Honda/Honda of Houston/Fox Racing/Bad Boy Energy Drink) whose 3-2 gave her third overall.

Fiolek’s moto one win came over Tarah Gieger, who was showing maybe her best speed of the season so far. Gieger used a 2-4 tally for fourth overall.

The second moto provided one of the biggest surprises of the women’s racing, as Sherri Cruse grabbed the holeshot and lead wire-to wire for her first moto win. Behind her, Jessica Patterson finished second, while Ashley Fiolek and Tarah Gieger duked it out behind her.

This race marked the halfway point of the 2008 AMA/WMA Women’s National Motocross Championship Presented by Kawasaki, and we’ll next see the women on July 26-27 in Washougal, Washington.
