5th Annual Big Air Kid's Fair

For the fifth year in a row, some of the top riders in world of Supercross and freestyle motocross took part in the Big Air Kid's Fair at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital. The annual event is eagerly-awaited by the kids, parents and staff of the hospital, with a freestyle demo out in front, as well as autographs and goodies from the riders who visit in the hospital afterwards. For the patients, some of whom have months-long stays while undergoing treatment in the hospital, it definitely helps break up the monotony, and puts a smile on their faces.

Jeff Tilton, Ronnie Renner and Myles Richmond took care of the riding portion, which was added two years ago, thanks to the hospital Administrator, Zareh Sarrafian, who green-lighted the idea. Also along on this trip were Jeremy McGrath, Kevin Windham, Andrew Short; and Miss Supercross, Brittney George. They were joined by a variety of assistants who helped pass out goodies donated by Smooth Industries, FMF International, Red Bull, Fox Racing, MX Girls, Girlyz, Ogio, Amateur MX Magazine, Racer X, CycleNews, No Fear, American Honda, Pro-Circuit, Troy Lee Designs, One Industries, and Live Nation.

Steve Bauer, co-founder of Wonder Warthog Racing started this in 2002, and this year's event was dedicated to the memory of Marty Moates, who had been a generous donor and enthusiastic participant during each previous visit.
