2014 Monster Energy Supercross Track Preview 15

The gang over at SupercrossOnline.com sent us over this batch of track renderings for the 2014 season.

Things that stand out to us? Some different first turn arrangements, the lack of any Joker Lanes for the regular season races, and that the scoring tower/team manager structure has been removed from the infield, which opens up more floor space.

You'll also note that there's no rendering for Anaheim 2. It's still in the works, and since it's a 40th Anniversary Race, it will probably be a replica of ’01 Anaheim 2 or 3, when RC and MC had their two great battles. Daytona's also MIA here, since Daytona does their own track design.

I love how the track goes into the stands in Detroit! Shades of the old Pontiac Sx's!

Whats going on with Detroit? I dont get the section before it goes up into the stands.

To me that's a nod to when the track used to run up into the stands at the Silverdome.

Straights are for outdoors SX is suppose to be technical, not wide open. Thats why guys like JS7 and RV1 are fast they can find the craziest hardest lines and it poses some separation. I think every one of these tracks is sweet and totally agree with GuyB

I'll admit, I usually shake my head and snicker when fans call them cookie-cutter tracks. I usually assume that the same people would be filling their drawers if they try to ride any one of them. Smile
