Wasn’t questioning your knowledge and experience. The question was meant to understand if PC/Varner changed their approach with the 05 onward engine.

Are the mods being done for the 03 much different than what people are doing for the 05-07? I realise there were quite a few engine changes for 04 and again in 05.

Only moto for me. I’ll have to give the base decking a bit more investigation. I appreciate your input. What gearing are you running? I’m currently 13/49 and think I’ll try 13/50 to see if that helps it pull 3rd better through some corners.

BTW, I’d say buy it for sure. Problem I’d have is not wanting to use it if it’s brand new

KTM throttle probably has a longer pull and nothing to do with the bars? There are aftermarket short pull throttle options.

With the seat cover you might find it helps to put it in the sun for an hour or so (or otherwise get some heat into it) as this will help you fit it tighter/smoother. Also, using an electric staple gun helps (if you weren’t already). Cool project

Be sure to add some anti seize on whichever you get to prevent ending up in the same situation again
