Isn’t unsprung everything below the spring?
I’m not sure the shock spring counts as unsprung weight.
No he was injured at an enduro (gaping wound apparently) a couple weeks ago and there is now some infection due to that. It looked like this thing was filmed at 10 frames per second. The recorded version was unwatchable for me on youtube.
The last three races he has had the speed too.
Your dad may be thinking you will outgrow an 85 in a year and he doesn’t want to drop the cash on a bike that he will need to replace in a year with a full size bike. Shred on the bike you have. It will make you a better rider because you are the suspension. ... more »
It’s definitely dominating the privateer 450 ranks. The lcq is practically all green. It looks like ktm dominates the bottom of the 250 East lcq.
The full wrap ones might be ok but I have a set of twisted flag mounts (and the screws) that say these aren’t good enough. I also had a clutch lever punch through the flag in a race and it took a while to pull it out. The ktm perch mounted are the best ... more »
There are zip ties that keep the handguard from folding back. Those break first.
Yamaha and Kawasaki are supposed to be the best for square edge bumps. Austrian bikes are supposed to be ok too but a little more work to get them that way depending on what fork is on them.
They use braketek in the enduro models (EC) but the cross country (EX) use Brembo.
Are KTM and GasGas plastic the same fit? I thought they were a little different.
Back the compression clicker all the way out find out what air pressure wp recommended for the fx350 and start with that. Mx shim stack is probably going to be harsh for off-road.

I think the goal is to keep water, mud, and dust out from behind the stack and you would use a 2nd gasket between stacks. At least I assume the gasket is thin enough for that. It should work just like the perimeter sealed laminates that 100% sells for ... more »
Jett’s bike was definitely down on power compared to the star bikes. He was struggling to go triple-triple-triple on the long jump section and Colt/Craig could easily do it.
Are there any 6d dealers in Indiana?
Yeah but the Japanese 450 engine/trans is clearly a lot heavier than KTM 450 and a Japanese 250. It stands to reason if KTM can make a 450 much lighter than a Japan 450 they can do the same with a 250. Maybe the weight savings is not as big but still ... more »
