The Neken bar already beats up your hands. I can’t imagine it with a hard mount.
Forged not cast just like the Japanese bikes. I think the only thing missing compared to the ktm triple clamp is the fancy machining.
My local shop sells Dunlops for right at or below rmatv pricing and there is usually a $20 per tire Dunlop rebate if you buy from a shop and not online. Unfortunately they are the worst to mount and other than mx3s fronts I dont really like any other ... more »
You may have more sand baggers in C class. Sometimes the podium in C would have finished top 5 in A.
I’m not asking specific questions. Just making the point clutching depends on the corner and what is after it. The yz250f has a lot more bottom end so clutching to get revs up and punch out of the corner is not going to help as much as on say a newer ... more »
Husky uses a Protaper with nearly the same bend as the ktm neken. The Neken was painful to ride for me. It is so harsh compared to the protaper evo.
I actually thought mine gave plenty of warning before losing grip and is the easiest front tire to slide around a turn. However it slides out pretty easy and I went back to soft or mid soft fronts. Mx 33 and 3s are both better in the woods. 33 has some ... more »
Try clutching in the corners and see if it makes you faster. It is situation dependent. Medium speed corner and your bike is just a little boggy in 3rd? Feed in some clutch to get the revs up. Slower corner and 2nd gear but pretty good revs? Might not ... more »
I had the Honda and it flames out pretty easily. I would only recommend it if you are adding a Rekluse. The Yamaha is wide too so I'm not sure there is much difference between them on that. If Yamaha fixed their starting fueling issue it should not have ... more »
I had them on a 2020 and they were a little sloppier than stock. If you use the wrong bolt on the brake side it is super sloppy but your ktm should have came with a larger od bolt that works.
The 100% perimeter sealed tear offs are great when it is super dusty but they are super expensive.
Has anyone tried their clutch perch?
There are at least 3 different sizes of 100% tear offs now.
How much cheaper is the mc65 compared to the ktm 65?
Triple clamps didn’t get the extra machining step on the outside. They look a little more Japanese in finish than the ktm. Function should be equivalent. Tires are different on some of the Mx models. Brakes and clutch are Brembo on Mx and xc I think ... more »
When you lug them they sound extra tappy. My crf250rx was also finger follower and sounded the same.
I saw one on the show room floor in central Indiana Saturday.
SRS are narrower than TA. I would say cf3 TA are wider at the insole than a tech 7 in the size 11 range. Toe is lower profile than a tech 7 so it is easier to get under the shifter. Looks like the TA sidis have a bigger size available.
I have those. They are not good for woods racing for me because in the open they darken up and then you dive back into the woods and can’t see well for a few seconds. You need a clear lens for the woods. For track up to you. If you buy Armegas the hiper ... more »
I’m not sure those would have lasted much longer riding on the balls of his feet. It looks like the same material forward of the arch.
