There is a reason they have 2019s left and that isn’t a knock on Suzuki. Any dealer sitting on 2019s in this market is asking too much. Even leftover 2020s with a good looking price is probably a sign of super high fees.
You could ask but there is a reason they still have a 2019 on the floor with almost everyone sold out of everything. Used seem to be around $5500-6000 in Indiana.
How is the power delivery on the 125/144? Top end like a ktm or more low end like a Yamaha?
What moto boots were you guys wearing when you tore it?
In the 2020 mxa shootout it was 5 lbs heavier than the kx250 and the same weight as the YZ250. crf was 2 lbs heavier.
Restrictor plates could slow down a four stroke but go too far and the 250 will be the same power as a 450.
Probably easier to lay down the power than the 2t if the track is very slick. Maybe better suspension too.
450s have been trending towards smoother, less violent bottom end for a while now. Keefer rode the factory Yamaha and said it has less hit than his stock YZ450F. I bet it revs to the moon though...
I have used these down into the low 50s/ upper 40s with no issues. I would think they would be more than warm enough indoors. Matt
In Indiana the riders have already voted and off-road race turn outs dwarf MX races. Quite a few of these guys raced MX in the past, but they are tired of the injuries. Two sand tracks (practice only now) I am thinking of adhere to a more old school ... more »
Messed up. Chap moto has sg12 for 20% off plus about $20 in quick cash or whatever they call it. Rocky Mountain has some helmet close outs pretty cheap. Airbrakes with prizm lenses for $80 too. Limit one per order.
Actually I was in the market a couple months ago but the one or two I could find were priced too close to the yz and kx.
I have raced nitro (2 stroke) 1/8 rc cars for over 15 years. A few years back ebuggies and later etruggies came on the scene with Lipo batteries and brushless motors. The buggies can be a menace to turn Marshalls and spectators due to instant torque. ... more »
Honda delivered two all new models and more of their existing bike. Suzuki did neither. Yamaha delivered all their old bikes and an updated 250f, ktm launched a new brand and delivered their current bikes, Kawasaki launched an all new 250, an updated ... more »
A reason that didn’t have the same effect on the other 3 manufacturers in the same country?
If they were going to wait 4-6 months longer than everyone else to ship 2021 bikes they should have been new. I would like to know the explanation for the huge delay getting unchanged product to dealers who have been sold out for months. It is a pretty ... more »
Local dealer was doing 20% off Alpinestars stuff. Got some 2021 tech 10 for under $500 before sales tax.
That is his Dunlop setup. I think he also likes the Pirelli.
For sand tracks plus soft dirt you will want a soft or mid soft tire. Mx33, Mx3s, Starcross 5 soft, Bridgestone x20, Pirelli mx32 mid soft, Maxxis Mx st. Keefer has a podcast reviewing most of these tires if you want more specifics on what each one does. ... more »
I used the Alpinestars a10 all summer in Indiana. I have to go up one size on the jersey to wear it under and I sometimes wear it on top of the jersey. I got hot but I wasn’t willing to sacrifice protection so I dealt with it. I don’t know how much cooler ... more »
