Yeah that is what I figured. It was the parts guy lol...
The shop I bought my bike from said not to mix synthetic and conventional or it might gum up. Of course this is what synthetic blend is...
I thought that was going to be an option on all the ktms?
After watching the Keefer review I would get the GasGas. More punch and better comfort from the AER fork and $900 cheaper? What is not to like? The tires? It's not like everyone loves MX33 fronts anyway. Triple clamps are forged like the Japanese bikes ... more »
You can’t directly compare the gytr to the steahly based on weight because the gytr adds most of the weight further to the outside of the flywheel which where the steahly adds it across the whole face. The further from the center the weight is added ... more »
The gytr is made for the bike and replaces your existing flywheel. It is pretty easy to install.
They are for the aer fork. The xc-w already has a spring fork. You need to get it revalved which should be quite a bit cheaper than new cartridges.
Don’t even try the crossfire 3. I don’t have a big ankle and they are tight there. They hurt until they broke in. The TA version will fit a wider foot though so at least that might be good. There is an Alpinestars tech 8 with a welt sole. They might ... more »
How many hours on this?
I think a large Bell will fit me and so does a large M10. If you get one there is a lot of adjustability built into the top liner in the helmet. It can go from terrible fit to perfect by adjusting that. The M8 is the same way just slightly heavier (50g ... more »
Sidi Crossfire 3 TA has the wider toe box but pretty tight in the ankle. Tech 10 has more ankle room but probably a bit less toe box room.
Yeah I forgot to mention that. I don’t know if it is the hard plastic or the screw heads.
I have not worn instincts but I went from tech 7 to cf3 TA. Better pedal feel in the Alpinestars. If you slap your foot on the ground like an emergency dab you feel it a lot more in the Sidi. Toe feels lower so easier to get under shifter. Keep water ... more »
Jobs at the OEM are generally less grindy than the suppliers and subsuppliers. Shit rolls downhill.
Race jobs (at least cars and I doubt bikes are any different) generally don't pay well and include a lot of time on unemployment as well. If you want to make a lot of money and have free time to moto you need to own your own company (which often doesn't ... more »
I came here to post this. They seem lighter than aluminum but I have not weighed them. I think they are pretty much unbreakable which is nice for off-road.
The only way I have found to stop this on the armega is with perimeter seal laminates which are nice but big time $$$. I hoped Scott prospects with the 4 posts would be better than armega for keeping dust out from under the bottom laminate but only a ... more »
He does say a ktm with cone valve forks and a vortex ecu is the funnest and most expensive bike to ride.
Keefer’s latest podcast compares all the 450s and tells which is best for different kind of riders and soil conditions.
Have you tried the different prizm lens colors? I don’t see any real description of what works where other than here is the color.
