Hi all, I picked up a 2015 yz250fx for a decent deal, or so I thought. Anyhow, I purchased it from the previous owner who said it needed a new clutch and I wasn’t certain about it actually needing one. So I replaced it with an OEM clutch pack and the ... more »

Hi all, I just completely rebuilt my bike. Have put about 25 minutes of ride time/break in heat and cooling cycles. What I'm curious is when I should change my oil because of the rebuild along with small metal shavings and breaking in parts, etc. I want ... more »

Speed racer. I have yet to pull it apart, and I was told by a friend that when you split the cases it doesn't have a gasket. It has some special Yamaha rtv... that's why I asked about it. So I'm assuming there is a gasket in there then?

Valves are now set at proper distance...I set the float pretty low and it still leaks. How would I replace the float valve? Is it the little pin that seals gas flow as the float pushes into it as gas level rises?

And I will check the valve lash to be sure, old owner was a friend, he said he just put new piston, rings, and re seated the valves

How's it going guys, just recently picked up this bike for my girl. The guy knew it had "carb" issues, I figured it was electrical because after I got it home, fired it up and took off in the back and it ran somewhat acceptably, then after about 10 minutes ... more »

Just bought the bike a couple months ago, I was planning on checking the valves. It has fresh 91 octane with Lucas oil octane boost in it. And no I ride regularly so it hasn't had much down time. thanks

Hi guys, my 2009 crf450r recently started giving me issues on cold starts, it takes about 6 kicks to start it with the "choke" on, and occasionally on a cold start makes what sounds like a mini backfire. After its warmed up, starts first kick. I believe ... more »
