Monday morning quarterbacks all over this post. So what they are saying, is if a part fails on my motorcycle, chain, bars, forks, shock, tires, tubes, throw it out completly and never install the same part again? If I have a Dunlop tube in my bike and ... more »

Its a Warp 9 cast hub, or I'm almost positive it is. A few years ago they sold cast hubs for Hondas and Yamahas but no longer do. Maybe call those guys.

You can buy some higher end components for less money. I know some guys love to buy everything OEM, even OEM inner tubes and spark plugs, but do some research and save yourself some money, and you'll get better stuff. Everything from your crankshaft ... more »

Reply to Kx clutch basket removal trouble 11/21/2016 9:29 PM

Use a propane torch from Walmart, Kawi clutch basket nuts have some crazy locktite, heat gun might not do it. You might have to buy or borrow a better impact gun. Make sure to leave all the clutch plates in to help hold it.

Reply to factory teams running throttle return cables? 3/7/2014 9:20 PM

You got it, LIABILITY. Let say without a return cable, you have .01% chance of having a sticky throttle, would you do it? If you have a return cable you have zero. (All things equal, no crashing, no dirt, cables adjusted correctly, ect....). You fools ... more »

Those four strokes flow soooooo much air if you don't have a return cable it ups the chances of the throttle sticking or hanging up. As the vitards say.....STAMP IT.

A cheap fix would be change your pressure springs (not the big ones). The control most of the smaller little choppy stuff. Stock rate is maybe (2.0 or 2.1?) Put in some 1.8 or 1.6 and it will make a HUUUUGE difference. Or like Jeremy stated above, a ... more »

My apologies lostboy, but your last post is nuts. You have a problem with a company claiming there product is better than everything on the market? That is what most advertisers ADVERITISE. Have you every watched TV or listened to the Radio?

Reply to Mika Chains 2/7/2014 9:58 PM

Lostboy, there's maybe 5 or 6 high end motorcycle chain mfgs, and they produce a good percentage of the chains on the market and get rebranded under a different retail name. Would you run a DID, EK, RK, Tsubaki, or Regina? Are you sure that Mika is not ... more »

I like your idea, but on the downside I'm not sure if it's always about logo size and placement. Although it would help to get double, triple or more when you're talking logo size, sometimes it's just what the market (MX and SX) can pay. Look at bull ... more »

Renthals are Regina chains in a Renthal box, I think it's an ORN or ORS series chain, and yes, they are great chains. Someone my need to correct me, but I think the stock chain on your RMZ is a DID X-ring sealed chain and a great one at that. DID does ... more »

Reply to Vertex vs. Wiseco pistons? 1/28/2014 9:55 PM

Sorry rcannon, it does matter. At least if you don't want that piston to slap and prematurely break the skirt. If you put an "A" piston in a clapped out cylinder, you get more slap, more wear, and yes, it's noticeable wear. Ask any experienced engine ... more »

If you go with an O-ring on a 125, you will get extremely good life, but it does cause drag. Depending on how sensitive a rider you are, some riders can feel the drag, and others cannot. I would go with a non o-ring, but lube it pretty much every time ... more »
