Reply to Nationals Postponed - Again 7/1/2020 2:54 PM

The percent of positive tests is way up, which is the number you want to look at. It’s not just more tests. As you test less symptomatic people, you’d expect the percent positive rate to go down if the virus isn’t spreading. That’s not the case. Protests ... more »

Yeah, I was at Southwick that day too. Track was unreal. It was hot! I sat in my truck with the AC blasting between motos haha. But yeah, there was no need for masks, as people were spread out. If everyone wears masks and attendance is limited, I don't ... more »

Anyone been during the week lately? Thinking of heading out there tomorrow.

I have been to Hangtown, Washougal, Glen Helen, Southwick, Budds Creek, Pala, and High Point. They were all awesome. Something about Southwick and Budds, though!

If you show up at southwick or budds creek in august to watch moto in a mask, you’re a true fan.

Would be nice to see Shift with a 450 guy. The Blue label stuff is so good.

Keep it simple. Shop the perimeter of the store (this is pretty much the whole 30 diet). Vegetables, meats, fish, dairy. Move as much as possible, do exercises that engage your brain and engage as many muscles as possible.

I don't think there are major changes for the 21, so, if new, that's a pretty good deal, about 2k less than you'd pay out the door (at least in the US).

Reply to Star protesting Gieco for fuel 6/22/2020 5:51 AM

As we saw with RC, fuel can have trace elements that are banned. So, it doesn't function like illegal fuel, and the race team did not do it on purpose, but it gets tested as such. Star is just hoping for this to occur. Honestly, either way, most people ... more »

I agree with RC that, if anything, this was a harder championship to win than typical years. Sure, he didn't get the crowed while he got his trophy, and he missed out on that moment, but I don't think that's a big concern for Tomac.

No one cares, those #1 plates will look the same in the garage, check will cash the shame, pride will be the same. That 250 race was one of the better races this year for sure.

Reply to Star protesting Gieco for fuel 6/22/2020 4:27 AM

I think that Star is used to seeing their riders walk away with races, and people typically say, oh, it's that Yamaha. Sexton has been riding amazing lately, and has complained previously about being down on power, so they are thinking it is his bike. ... more »

Yes, this is spot on. He's a racer. The best way to win the championship is to go out and act like it's another race he wants to win.

Reply to Ryno on Jett 6/16/2020 11:08 AM

He's not the phenom that James Stewart was, but Jett does look mature in the class very early in his career. I would not be surprised if he wins a title in 2021.

There are lots of ways to break in a bike, but this is one I would not do.

Reply to modern 4 stroke break in procedure 6/9/2020 1:24 PM

The Yamaha manual is very similar to that. Basically what I do. Also, make sure to oil the air filter before you ride it. Things are always bone dry from the factory. You can always do what the pros do and just ride it all out first time out, but I have ... more »

Thinking about everyone who fought, including my Nonno, who landed in Normandy and fought through the battle of the buldge, against fascism and authoritarianism.
