I think it will only get better with ACR running the event vs Ahrma. ACR does a good job. Personally I don’t care who Rides what, I just like seeing & riding the old bikes at that track.

I have the same bike. Under the impression these bikes have a stock header with Akro slip on? I have read it is hard to improve on the stock Ktm header, but there are gains to be had switching slip on mufflers. I have been wanting to get a stock 19 slip ... more »

Clutch side crank seal, Weak stator, check all connections, gas tank venting, piston in backwards? Is it jetted for straight VP ? Just throwing some idea”s out there...

The walnut media is more expensive than soda, and unless you plan on using it in a cabinet, it goes pretty quick. I have never used walnut. the soda is cheaper and works pretty good on bare cast aluminum parts, such as brake calipers, hangers, cases, ... more »

Remove or place some foam over the edge of the bike lift pedal on the lift....your shins will thank me later....the frame dent is no big deal, there are a few options depending on what your end goal is.

Sometimes you have to stack base gaskets to get the desired measurement, look up Jeff Slavens on utube, he has good videos on how to set your base gaskets. I believe you want the piston to just kiss a flat edge across the top of the cylinder.

This was a test to see how close the color was.... not close enough for me to touch up the main frame. O/all the main frame original finish is pretty good.... I will leave it original for now... and this was with a light grey primer and clear coat.,

In another lifetime I was a pretty good auto painter, so It was close enough to blend in the subframe weld repair.

I ordered the Colorite KX green for the older models..I at least wanted to touch up the subframe where it was welded. Performed spray out card.....it’s a little dark.

If you turn the handlebar, you can get more slack out of throttle cable & then spin carb within the boots all the way to access the bowl, I can swap a main & adjust needle clip in 5 minutes...make sure you pull the slack back out of the throttle ... more »
