The only good way to determine the value of property like that is based on the income in does/can produce. I'm in the real estate business, and I'm pretty sure they aren't going to find comparable sales and listings anywhere close, or within the last ... more »

Reply to Weston Peick facial surgery results 3/7/2019 12:17 PM

I'd bet even Weston doesn't know yet. I believe it will all hinge on his vision. The last I heard, he had lost his vision in one eye. My brother suffered a similar (but far less severe) set of facial injuries a couple of years ago that required his right ... more »

I loved my '87 CR500. Boy that joker was sometimes hard to start though! Broke my right foot once when it slipped off the kicker and hit the peg with my instep (with boots on). I had an aluminum CR500 conversion afterwards that I never had a problem ... more »

I agree that he should be able to ride a bicycle first. I also agree (from experience) that putting training wheels on a minibike is a bad idea--don't do it. PW50 is the best starter--that's what my 12 year old started on when he was 4. BUT, I couldn't ... more »

Reply to Weston gives us an update 12/2/2018 4:40 PM

One of the unknowns here is how quickly Weston will acquire clear vision. My brother had similar (but not as severe) injuries a couple of years ago including a broken orbital. He had to go through two eye surgeries. The second was to shim out the eyeball ... more »

I agree and disagree and the same time. I think your argument is displacement sensitive. Ie, a four stroke 85cc would be hopelessly outclassed by a two stroke 85. But in the open class, I suspect most pro riders would prefer a modern 450 four stroke ... more »

For the record, I'm a Dungey fan and my two boys and I race a trio of orange two strokes. But I'm sorry to have let my "vitardness" out of the bag and hurt your feelings with my observations.

And there you have it... I race a two stroke because I think it is more fun. If I was more serious and competitive, I'd be on a thumper.

I noticed Dungey's pumpkin significantly out pulled RV's YZ off the line and on the drag race to the first obstacle in both races. Also noticed the Alta seemed to be under powered big time next to the full race 250t's

I think the seller would be a real interesting character in person. Oh, I met his brother once who had a 6 cylinder Mustang that would do 175mph because he put mothballs in the tank.

Here is a true track dog. This was a stray dog we found at Hwy 89 Raceway in Arkansas last August. The dog was probably 4 months old then, and probably only a couple of days away from starving. The dogs sire and bitch were at the track also, and they

Reply to Shipping in a engine 4/25/2018 10:37 AM

I shipped an assembled CR500 engine with the carb, ignition and kicker from Arkansas to Texas. Shipped in a cooler that cost $20. Shipping by Fedex was around $50 if I remember right. This was less than 3 years ago.
