As the title says. What are some tools you’ve made or adapted for MX. Either in a pinch or regular use. Here is a screwdriver thing we grinded down to bleed the forks on our Yamahas when the bars are in the forward mounts. Push bleeders were on back

Peaky Blinders - Already mentioned but it’s a fantastic show. Ripper Street - Great crime/detective show. Vikings - Currently watching, has me just as hooked as Peaky Blinders.

I’ve been using O’Neal for a few years now and will continue to use it. Great company, good quality.

Added reply in a thread 2018 YZ450F Skipped Timing 10/4/2018 4:56 AM

It sounds like it was something else that caused it to skip timing.

Added reply in a thread 2018 YZ450F Skipped Timing 10/4/2018 4:53 AM

That’s very unfortunate. I’ve heard of bikes skipping timing from be restarted on landing after stalling in air, but none from bump starting on ground.

It’s great to see RV enjoying life on his own terms. One of the bests for sure.

Added reply in a thread 250f for a tall guy 9/27/2018 6:36 PM

I’d like to clarify that this is based on the weight you said. My brother is 200lbs and found that a 250f wasn’t enough. As for height, Yamaha’s have always been great for tall riders. Should have re-read the title

Added reply in a thread Be Honest, can you ride a wheelie? 9/27/2018 4:27 PM

A class rider, can’t wheelie for the life of me!

Added reply in a thread 250f for a tall guy 9/27/2018 4:20 PM

Honestly depends on your skill level. If your not racing a very competitive class you will be fine. But front B class and up I think you will struggle. The 14+ yz 250fs are great bikes however. Try one if you can!

Added reply in a thread Alta -- Try one if you get the chance! 9/24/2018 10:21 AM

I got a chance to ride one. Cool technology for sure. No clutch and shifting is weird, I didn’t like that. The bike absolutely rips, but I was told the battery only lasts 30 minutes for fast guys on a MX track. The bike felt heavy, but cornered well. ... more »

Now that’s a split lane I’d like to see, whoops on one side and a rhythm on the other.

Added reply in a thread Severe engine damage from leaded fuel? 9/23/2018 6:50 PM

My brother and I ran straight VPR for years. VPR is leaded. Never had any problems using it and the bikes ran noticeably cooler.

I have that gear. It’s slim fit, with some stretch to it. I think it’s really comfortable and looks great.

Added reply in a thread Regarding holeshot devices & mapping..... 9/13/2018 3:51 PM

Holeshot devices help for sure, but you certainly don’t need one to rip a holeshot.

Added reply in a thread 2019 YZ250F Excel Wheels 9/13/2018 3:46 PM

Unfortunate for sure, but who knows what caused it? Could’ve landed on a rock, square edge or just simply overshot. can’t really blame Yamaha here.

Added reply in a thread Carson Brown 9/13/2018 3:38 PM

He has great style and is still young (19?) I think he would do well with a full time ride.

What psi were you running?

Added reply in a thread How often do you crash? 9/3/2018 2:29 PM

Only tip over once or twice a year. I push myself a lot on practice days aswell. It’s all about staying mentally focused and hitting your marks.
