I printed a vibration isolation mount for my GPS (from a design I found on thingiverse.com) In KTM orange of course. Took about 2 hours on my el-cheapo printer.

No separate garage space? If you put a bike and/or fuel tanks in there, it is going to stink of gas...

The Shell station in Winter Park Colorado does indeed sell Ethanol free premium. First one I ever saw do that around here. About $4+ a gallon last time I checked thought. Compared to less than $1.80 for the 10% ethanol, that is a pretty steep increase. ... more »

Why does a leaner mixture cause more carbon buildup? My naive? train of thought would be richer, more unburned fuel, more deposit. Also, the scratches on the cylinder wall. Could that be from the rings? I've run No Toil in all my bikes for year and never ... more »

Except that once everyone and their bro ride too, it is no big deal anymore and you are just one of the many. Bam! right back to club uncool. But I get what you mean, I'm an elitist myself. Once everybody jumps on the bandwagon, I'm off to the next great ... more »

If you are old school, (or cheap, or poor...) you go by hear. lightly tapping on the spokes with a small wrench makes it pretty obvious which ones are too tight and which ones are too loose.

No, but I have used one to get rid of a chronic "tennis" elbow (quote around tennis because I don't play :-) Not to strengthen the muscle, but to stretch it. Basically the position in the picture. The wand is preloaded, and then you slowly let the left ... more »

No you don't prep, the club does. The one day lease doesn't have anything to do with a track. It is strictly land use. Maybe more aligned with a land owner leasing the land for a season to a farmer. If the farmer gets run over by his own tractor, that ... more »

Just thinking aloud: If everybody who is allowed to ride your track form a club. Then when you all want to ride, the club rents your land for the day. Somebody gets hurt and wants to sue. Wouldn't they be suing themselves, since the "club" of which they ... more »

Well, it looks like it was the needle indeed. I put the original back in, and no more drip yeah! Pretty subtle differences.

Added reply in a thread 07 crf450r removing float valve seat? 12/9/2015 10:42 AM

Thanks for all the suggestions. I think I'm going to do a combo, try to gently clean the seat, go back to OEM needle, double check float height, and see what happens. I can always destroy the carb later if none of this works :-)

It leaks from the overflow. Not a lot, but "drip drip drip" when the fuel is on and the engine is not running. I forgot to drain the bowl last winter, and of course with the 10% ethanol gas we get in Colorado, the thing was all gummed up. I'm very careful ... more »

That's a bummer. My carb leaks, even with a new float needle. I'm wondering if the o ring under the seat is defective.

Hey folks, Anybody knows the Keihin model number for an 07 crf450r? Is the float valve seat pressed in or screwed in? Any tip for removing it? I'm talking about part 36 on this diagram. I'm not seeing an obvious way to take it out. http://sudco.com/fcrmx.html Thanks!
