This is the best site I've found for finding interchangeable parts; http://oem-cycle.com/KAWASAKIKX250BIKEID.shtml You will have to scroll to the right quite a lot to get to the parts you want to check.

How do you attach the seat cover to the carbon base?

Added reply in a thread Tech tip - Tired of rounding out Phillips screw heads? 10/23/2015 3:21 AM

I don't know if you have the same in USA, but here in the UK we have Pozi Drive screws which have an added feature to prevent rounding.

How deep is the gouge/damage? I'd personally continue to use that if I still rode, but I was slow anyway so wouldn't have stressed it much. Lol.

The crazy thing is, they can go down to a 2 speed gearbox (according to the mostbrecent PitBits). The Dixon 2013 yz250f was 3spd, 52bhp and only 95kg. Would have been an interesting bike to test ride.

Added reply in a thread USGP Pit Bits is up! 9/24/2015 11:40 AM

Absolutely love the PitBits feature! Thanks GuyB. Would love to find out a heap of info about Dixon Racing being able to use 4, 3 or even 2 gears. Sounds awesome. I know they had 3 speed in 2013 on the yzf that Ferris was using.

Here's the link; http://www.oem-cycle.com/KX125KAWASAKIBIKEID.shtml You'll have to scroll sideways to find the part you want, to see if it will fit on/from another model. A few years ago I had my 06 kx125 waterpump cover anodized a dark brown colour. ... more »

Added reply in a thread Boyesen supercooler cover kx125 9/14/2015 12:01 PM

As far as I'm aware, the supercooler cover was never available for the 125, only for the 250. Can't comment on the compatability of a kx250 cover, but would be doubtful. Are you after a different waterpump cover for any particular reason? When go on ... more »

They could use magnetic signage. Attach it to the van during races/driving between races then pull it off before they get to the hotel so nobody (hopefully) knows what is in the van.

Added reply in a thread Suzuki Team bikes stolen 9/3/2015 8:06 AM

It's another lock that you bolt to the van doors to stop undesirable people from breaking in. Just have to type 'van lock' into Google and you should get plenty of results. This should give you an idea of them; https://www.plumbingvans.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/Lock-Mount.jpg ... more »

Added reply in a thread Suzuki Team bikes stolen 9/3/2015 7:14 AM

I could imagine each bike alone is worth that. Such a shame to hear about the theft. With the amount of scum lurking these days, it's wise to take no chances. Better to lock something up like it's in Fort Knox than to risk anything.

Added reply in a thread Well, Assen was a bloody great GP 9/1/2015 10:05 AM

Based on the helmet cam footage from Ferris the day before the race, I thought the track looked rubbish and wasn't going to have much excitement. I'm glad I was proved wrong! I thought the racing was good and the track looked like a lot of fun!! If only ... more »

What is it about carbon silencers that causes them to have limited durability?

Added reply in a thread So there you have it….250 vs 250 8/30/2015 7:09 AM

You said it - They (4st) have come such a long way now, that there needs to be equal displacement racing everywhere. Each has their own advantage depending on terrain. Stankdog is only one rider.

Added reply in a thread So there you have it….250 vs 250 8/30/2015 7:03 AM

Physics crap. It is a very unfair rule - 250cc is 250cc, regardless of strokes. Time for equal displacement racing everywhere.

The rear rotor looks to be the stock KX one from 2006 onwards.

I didn't mean to be a dick or anything by suggesting about the year of the bike. The kx's look even better with kxf suspension, especially if it has dlc. I hate the look of the stock forks on my 04 kx125 - it's the horrible silver band that bugs me. ... more »
