Added reply in a thread Importance of engine mount torque specs 2/13/2020 5:32 AM

My thought is theres a torque spec on every bolt on the bike and its there for a reason. For critical stuff like axles forks engine mounts shocks triple clamps etc you shouldnt question using a torque wrench. On my bikes the only thing i dont use a torque ... more »

Added reply in a thread Decision Time -- 2003 RM 125! Live or Die 2/13/2020 5:24 AM

Id save it. Dirtbikes arent cars that you total. They are money pits. A 125 is so cheap to rebuild. A 2003 can be a nice bike if you want it to be. $1000 in parts is literally nothing in the grand scheme of things. You can spend $1000 replacing a 4 stroke ... more »

Most people just like the look. The rest do take their trucks mudding from time to time. Only reason i dont lift mine is for dirtbike reasons. Last thing i want after a long day is to push 2 bikes up an extra 6”+

Added reply in a thread While the 450 guys were on the podium... 2/12/2020 6:25 AM

Good coaches dont have to be good athletes. An eye for technique and detail and the ability to speak to the athlete in a way that drives and motivates them is what makes a good coach. Typically top athletes arent good coaches but middle of the road athletes ... more »

Added reply in a thread Who makes the best aftermarket plastics? 2/12/2020 4:40 AM

Acerbis ufo and cycra are all pretty even from my experience. Great material and fit. I tried polisport on a yz250 i had a few years ago and noticed the plastic was a lesser quality than the other 3 brands. You definitely get what you pay for. Fitment ... more »

Not sure what millennium is talking about with running lean because theres no sign of a lean condition. According to millenniums own guide, that looks like it was ran without oil and seized. Millennium’s guide

Added reply in a thread Kibblewhite racing valve spring kit kx250f 2013 2/7/2020 4:45 AM

The thing you want to look for is the springs dont compress to solid from the amount of lift from the cams. If you can find the lift spec on the cams and its less than the .445” kibble white springs will allow then youre good to go.

Added reply in a thread Changing fork oil 2/6/2020 12:09 PM

Shouldnt have to seperate the forks. Take the caps off and make sure the spring area is exposed so it drains. Let it drain for a long time. If you want to be thorough then seperate them clean and reassemble. This is the way i do mine. Not that big of ... more »
