I dont think buying a ranger is going to help costs. I cant think of a single reason to not buy a full 4 door f150. Theres plenty of storage and sleeping room in the back. Theres more room up front for long drives. A pickup isnt making or breaking it ... more »

The chain jumps because the tensioner is bad or the chain was worn. 38 hours isnt enough to make a chain stretch that far or for the guides to wear down, so it leads me to believe its a bad tensioner. Kawi is known for bad auto tensioners. If it were ... more »

Beating tomac is no joke. Regardless if half the field is there or not. If he can beat eli - the undisputed fastest man in the AMA, he can beat kenny and marvin. Lets not pretend AC is a 1 hit wonder.

It costs $190 to rebuild a crank.. i dont understand why you wouldnt do that especially if youre already tearing it down.

Duh yea youre right. Clearly didnt think of that. Just guessing, but if $6500 is break even on a sale, 70 bikes is what it takes per year. Either way, theyre selling way more bikes than that anyways to cover it without much worry.

Added reply in a thread Would You Spend $2-Million of Sponsorship Dough on a Trailer? 10/28/2019 10:08 AM

If they use a $2,000,000 semi for 10 years thats 200k per year. 200k divided by $9500 kx450 = 21.05 bikes. Depending on sales etc thats somewhere around 20-25 bikes per year over 10 years just to cover the purchase price of the semi. Right?

Added reply in a thread How long do you run your crank? 10/28/2019 9:45 AM

Cylinder replate - $300 Set of cases - $4/500 New crank -$250 Piston kit - $150 Bearings - $300+ Gaskets & seals - $150?? Stuff adds up fast and i didnt even mention anything on the clutch side or tranny or if youre doing it yourself or not.

If you want to get sponsor money involved the cost to kawasaki is even lower. 80k cans of monster per year pays for the kawasaki semi.. do the math how you want.

Added reply in a thread Would You Spend $2-Million of Sponsorship Dough on a Trailer? 10/28/2019 8:00 AM

For kawasaki to make even on that semi they need to sell 20-25 kx450s per year. The racing package is the advertisement. The semi is part of it. I dont think selling 20-25 bikes a year is very much to ask for. When you factor in selling thousands of ... more »
