At 145 I'm sure you went much lighter on fork spring rate. What did you end up with for shock spring?

Added reply in a thread Any Suspension Gurus That Can Help? 10/13/2021 9:18 AM

These come with KYB AOS forks stock. I checked with Enzo and they recommended stock springs in front and one rate stiffer in rear. Just felt stiff already and couldn't hardly believe I should go stiffer still.

Will do! The front seems very stiff, like rip hands off the bars on landings stiff. If things still feel odd can I do a spring rate or 2 down in the front even if it isn't what certain companies are saying should work? Or am I going to throw off the ... more »

Thanks. According to Race Tech calculator they want me two rates softer in front, stock rear. But is this based on their valving not stock?

Ya I'd have to say I am with Bruce here with on the tread lightly comment. Insurance companies are NOT going to pay for anything that they can potentially twist and put the blame on someone else.

Where did you end up getting cams from?

Added reply in a thread Ways to make bike pull longer in each gear 10/6/2021 12:43 PM

I wouldn't say I need 44 horsepower but I wouldn't mind being able to knock on the door or crack the 40 horsepower mark. Horsepower numbers for these bikes seem to be all across the board but based on what I have seen from factory claims mixed with actual ... more »

From a Loretta's standpoint, are these types of bikes legal in the 450 limited classes?

Will I need to get a remap if I throw in cams?

I have never had the opportunity to ride an Alta but from most of what I've seen they look like they are a blast. Such a shame they couldn't find the funding to keep going.

My apologies I was wrong. The Kawasaki PR does not use the term "Kit." That term was dropped by the VitalMX editorial before the actual Kawasaki PR.

Ha yup just looked on RockyMountain and a 14T front is on closeout from Primary Drive for $4.79. Sounds like a cheap enough way to try to me! Thanks.

Yes the "if it will pull it" is my concern. Bottom to mid on these bikes is actually nice but they fall so flat up top. When riding it's not like I am at the top of the gear if that makes sense? It's more that it just stops pulling as hard as it does ... more »

"A" Kit is a Showa thing. These are Kayaba. Like ML said, I don't believe this is the "factory" level suspension. KYB forks with coatings and components as if you ordered from ENZO.

I can't help you there. At $13,000 I'd be nervous riding it. Although I'm also one who will never finance a dirt bike. If I don't have the money in my account then I don't buy it.

According to the press release it will come with KYB kit suspension. Any idea what "kit" suspension from KYB is exactly?
