Reply to Opinions on running VP T4 fuel on a bran new stock 450. Is it worth it or no? 5/22/2020 2:24 PM

It's worth it to me because I'm racing all over, and I don't want to have to deal with inconsistent fuel/contaminated fuel, etc. T4 also exceeds the manufacturers required octane ratings.

No trouble at all. I raced the stock clutch for two seasons. I just installed a Rekluse Torquedrive Manual...I like it, but I haven't raced it yet. Also, I have an ASV clutch perch and lever on it. This lets me put the clutch lever right where I want ... more »

Don't be surprised to see some unfamiliar faces in both classes...and a reduced number on the line. A good number of the 250 East (and likely 450) riders aren't going to be able to make the races....just not financially feasible

You are right at the top of the weight range it's set up for stock. I was 228lbs when I got my '18 450RX, and I had to get it resprung and revalved. I was clank bottoming everywhere...both ends were too soft even with the compression damping all the ... more »

Freeze protection to -26F is legit. However, 256F boilover is misleading adspeak. The boiling point is increased so much due to being in a pressurized system. Not bagging on Dave or his product, but at sea level in an open container, Engine Ice boils ... more »

Part of that is the way California operates. Darn near anything can be used as a disability there. Blame your legislators for that one. I'm pretty sensitive to abuse of disabled access even now, as my former wife was disabled. She was never able to walk, ... more »

This one gets me...people who make assumptions that just because someone can walk without apparent difficulty, they're not legitimately disabled. There are numerous conditions which are legitimate disabilities...but are not obvious to the casual observer ... more »

It's press fit. You'll have to replace it. Whomever did your cerakote must have gotten it too hot. I overheated my 2018 CRF450RX quite badly, and the steel tube partially backed out of the aluminum cover, and began weeping coolant. I had to replace it.

Never used SRS. I've been riding on FCR's valving since 2008. Bob and his crew do solid work. Also once you get your suspension done he stands by it. The suspension he built for me performs exactly the way I want it to. I had the same problem you do. ... more »

I wouldn't put any money on quads or any other vehicle being covered by homeowner's insurance, even if it's sitting in your living room serving as a coffee table. Generally speaking, if it has a title, it needs its own insurance
