Had same problem with cold starts. Just purchased an 11’ a few months ago. I adjusted the valves to spec, set high idle to 33 turns out, and adjusted the tps to spec. Now it starts no problems after finding tdc and all that fun stuff! Sounds like tps. ... more »

+1 to this! The tracks around me are very jumpy almost supercross style. I’d like to ride more nationals style tracks and when the jumps are big just make them table tops. I’m racing Grand Prixs this year. 1 hour motos, cold start so not everyone is ... more »

I record supercross every Saturday night. The wife and I watch it every Sunday morning with coffee and breakfast. It’s our thing and I don’t think she would be into the nationals. So I’d have to stay with super cross. I would rather ride on some national ... more »

Added reply in a thread What "changes" Did They Make to Tomac's Bike? 4/19/2019 2:54 PM

This is how I used to ride my two stroke all the time. I’m now having trouble (being that I’m just getting into the 4 stroke world) with finding the balance for it. Trying to back off it but then I start to not use it at all. I feel like I want to be ... more »

I always try to take in consideration resale as well. Yes the bike will cost me 4K but after 3-4 years of use out of it I can sell it for say $2500 so it cost me $375-500 a year to ride plus general maintinence/wear and tear items. All in all not bad ... more »

To answer you original question on what clear is the best. If you’re using a rattle can they are all just kinda “so-so” none really better than the other. I use a lot of Val-spar, 3m, and SEM. Currently at the shop is spray PPG. If spraying out of a ... more »

I’m not familiar with them. I’d like to be as I get asked to paint a lot of guns. And know they hold up well in those applications. Be careful when you go to apply the clear coat. Sounds like the bluing process is an “oil” base. This could react with ... more »

Motocross I can’t imagine being on a 450f at 16. I think a 250f will do just fine. I ride green but I think they all make a good bike anymore. 31 years old 165lbs used to be decent but am slow now due to being out of the sport to long and just getting ... more »

It will work and you can do it.... I just wouldn’t trust the durability of it and would hate to tell you it’s a good idea and you put all this work into it only to have the paint flaking and falling off in a few months. I’m not familiar with the bluing ... more »
