Reply to The booing.. 1/10/2016 2:34 PM

Agree with you guys. I'm amazed that the Asterisk guys can do all that they can with bikes roaring by...communication, in the instance of a serious injury, can be key to properly assessing the situation. They made the right move IMHO. The booing, cuz ... more »

True. In fact, I indicated what I felt about it. And I said I really liked #1, which contrasted with ricko's feelings. Still....it was free....and likely cost em quite a bit to make.

I dunno....I thought Doonies 1 was pretty good. This one was ok but not quite as good. That said, lets see, what did we pay for the vids?

Reply to Moto 7: The Movie 12/27/2015 9:10 PM

I too think alot of the vids have been repetitive...till this one. I mean, how much slo mo, flying dirt, big jumps and whips can you do and make it different...especially if its all filmed at tracks. Sure...its all cool and all, but all so similar it ... more »

Reply to Moto 7: The Movie 12/26/2015 9:08 PM

As usual, we got it for Christmas. Contrary to shanes, I found the most recent ones largely boring (cool shots but same ol, same ol) but this one was really good!!! Second only to Moto2 which is our fav, partly cuz of the Caselli segment. Loved the Cainville ... more »

Reply to Separated Shoulder Injuries 12/26/2015 7:32 AM

I had a grade 1-2 separation 7 years ago and mine still clicks a little, but its fine otherwise. To the OP - I'd say swatdoc has provided some excellent information. I suggest you see a doc and consider following his advice. Usually, a prescription is ... more »

Well crap! We were behind the live feed due to the effup with the feed at the start, so we got to just a couple races after Hapshire's big crash and then the feed shuts off. This was my first attempt at watching an internet event like this, and it left ... more »

Reply to How many of you road or mtn bike for training? 7/24/2015 1:26 PM

I don't race...moto, mtn bike, or road bike, but I ride all 3. All for fun, but the bicycles are better training for me. Basically, I view em as training for moto (off-road, not track). If you have the time, I think a road bike gives you the best cardio ... more »

He is retiring because of injury and he did thank the fans. He has compressed disks in his lower back which can be quite debilitating. Check out sciatica (I don't know if he has that, but it can result from compressed disks). Re-read his letter for your ... more »

I ride off-road and learned that No Toil gums up when it ends up in a cold mountain stream. Bike would not restart no matter what....finally I pulled the filter aside and presto! I use Bel Ray and mineral spirits now. I put a few gallons in a 5 gallon ... more »

Reply to Do the redesigned Tech 7s hold up better than previous versions? 6/10/2015 10:51 AM

I switched from Tech 8s to Tech 7s cuz I needed a lower profile toe for shifting and my son really likes his older version of the 7. I concur with previous post that they have a kinda slick sole. Going to try some new pegs. I also don't much care for ... more »

Reply to Tracks too rough? 5/30/2015 8:36 PM

They were lucky they had a track to ride on at all! We drove by on Monday and it was a mess. They were lucky there were a few breaks in the rain last week so they could do anything to it. The ruts down by us were deep and they weren't ripping it. It ... more »

Reply to Tomac Injury 5/30/2015 7:59 PM

I thought his left leg was going to be messed up the way it seemed to catch under the bike and then they had his boot off, but when he was on the Asterisk cart, he had weight resting on that foot, so that was a good sign. His arm was obviously the focus ... more »
