Yes. I only use 7/8". I can only use this for the control length. I run my levers mounted in. Not just in from the end of the bars. Never an issue.

WOW! Thanks for the picture! Not to hijack. I always run the same bar on every bike, with a cross bar. The bar is rotated forward till the cross bar hits the t-handle on the forward bolt. This was to be the neutral position. I only used the marks to ... more »

Yes. The part numbers are the same as the 16-18 OEM.

Fixed. Just looked up the 21 KX450, and the lower roller went back to the 2 bearing roller.

If your old bearings are in good condition, I would just replace the rubber roller. That is Funny! I just looked up the 21 450/250 and they went back to the 2 bearing system. That was the issue for the wear on the 19, single bearing.

16-18 OEM with 2 bearings or 19 OEM. I replaced with a 16-18 OEM from the start.

I have an 04. Not sure why you would want to change the suspension, unless yours is not serviceable. I sent mine to Pro Circuit and the ride is amazing. It was designed around this setup. I am also amazed that today's bikes are setup for beginners. Motocross ... more »

Link to online manual. Preload specifications. https://www.manualslib.com/manual/784204/Honda-Crf250r.html?page=114#manual These settings are not the bike manufacture, but the Suspension manufacture.

Preload is an important part of the function of the suspension. You need to check the manual and find the correct range of preload. Most just turn the spring to the desired sag number, but never measured to see if this is in the specific range.

With the KX 450F there are some initial must have mods. I will answer your question first. Chain and sprockets. I run Sunstar MXR1 Works chains. Amazing on the performance end, but equally on the durability side. Basic clean and lube, and this chain

I run my throttle housing at 12 o' clock. NO! Throttle Cable Slack! No engine braking. I have always set my bikes up like this. Personal preference.

No issues. I find the initial stretch is in the first hour/ hour and a half. I feel a delay in acceleration. The adjustment at the rear axle is only about a 10th of the chain slack. Not a equal amount.

Yes, Acerbis chain guide and sliders are on every Kawasaki before it hits dirt. I also change the chain length to 116 link. I like the longer wheel base for traction and the feel of the rear suspension. Stock gearing.

16-18 KX450F lower chain roller. No extra noise.
