I'm pretty sure you're out of your element Donny...

Ricky Johnson was a top motocross/supercross racer and champion in the 80's, he was the "bad boy". There's a world of difference between "Life's a Beach" and "I Eat Ass".

You should be able to run 13 psi on a rocky track and as low as 12 in the sand with a conventional standard duty tube with average tires. 14 is overkill for sure. I run bridgestone X30 and X40 tires up here in the northwest and when I venture south and ... more »

Great video, thanks for posting it. It seems that last little bite is a bit tougher (like Walleyeguy said above) but the rest doesn't look too bad. Interesting that he installed the wheel into the tire between the beads first. it looks like the best ... more »

May have, I feel like these were being returned stateside for scrap or training. It's been too long to remember where these were headed after we stripped our gear off of them. I was a contractor for some stuff after I got out of the Corps. I see you're ... more »

So do you put the Tubliss on the rim before the tire? I've never installed one. Typically, when I change a tire I puff a bunch of talc in the tire, then put the tube in the tire with just enough air to hold it's shape without wrinkling. Then, I install ... more »

It wouldn't be my first trip there, but I prefer to fly Air Force for the extra leg room...

That would be great. Thanks.

That's exactly what I'm trying to find out with this thread. I have the A-kit part on hand and can take high precision measurements for comparison if someone has the OEM KX part and/or a drawing to compare it to.

Sounds right to me. An older 49mm A-Kit tube is approximately 590mm (a little over 23-3/16" with a tape measure).

I bought a set of Tubliss almost ten years ago but I never installed them after hearing about these problems. One of them is still sitting up on the pallet racking in my shop someplace... Looking at the surface finish inside a new tire I can see why

Good choice! They are fun, reliable bikes. Try the V-Force reed on that thing, it works well with the stock and FMF pipes.

Are the lower tubes from the 2019 and 2020 Showa 49mm fork used in the current model Kawasaki KX450 compatible with the Showa A-Kit spring forks from about 8 to 10 years ago? Not so much the lower fork lug, just the inner (lower) tubes... Thanks.

Can someone tell me the diameter of the steering stem where it goes through the top clamp, or the diameter of the hole in the middle of the top triple clamp for a 2012 or 2013 KX450F? Thanks!

I didn't vote in your poll because it's too limiting in it's wording. Everything is "always" or "only"... In my view, I change it if it needs changing. I'm 165 lbs and the current race bikes are pretty damn good stock. I've ridden the Kwaker, Honda, ... more »

One of those "summer seasons" in the last ten or 12 years almost all the teams switched to smaller numbers on the side-plates... That trend didn't last more than a year and they all switched back. I was thinking it was maybe 2009 or 2012 or somewhere
