This is true, you only hear about the bad

There’s been some low hour crank issues reported in here too. I would be curious to know of the validity of all these claims cause Yamaha has always been one of the most reliable bikes 250 or 450.

Then your fine for what your intended reason is. For an actual service at 20-30hrs I’d always change all oils together with new seals AND bushings. But just for peice of mind of what’s in there new sure you can drain the outers and refill to proper levels, ... more »

I too am an ARC user, both Clutch perch assembly and brake lever. I will have them on any bike I own they are great, many dumb tip overs or good getoffs and they are indeed unbreakable. I'm OCD when it comes with clutch lever feel. If it is sloppy up ... more »

Can’t speak for rfx but ProX is usually very close to OEM or in most cases is the exact same part as OEM. Case in point, fork seals I have seen have been the identical NOK seals as OEM. Same casting marks, same part numbers. ProX is usually a very good ... more »

You don’t torque it per say. It’s more a tension type nut used as an adjuster. You get it snuck and then You DO torque the top nut to secure and Clamp it all together. Then You check your steering tension and if it’s too loose then adjust that castellated ... more »

That’s a steal for those forks!!!

Added reply in a thread Pivot Works linkage bearings. JUNK!? 6/24/2019 6:32 PM

That’s always the best bet. You get what you pay for and OEM is usually the best for stuff like that. A lot of R&D and stress testing is done to each part.

Added reply in a thread What are people running for fork/shock oil these days? 6/24/2019 9:51 AM

Right makes sense. But the “heavier” weight might affect tuning slightly making a stiffer setting than with a mite traditional shock weight. But is it capable? Sure anything amsoil puts out is top notch stuff. I may give it a try as a test too see. I’ve ... more »

Added reply in a thread What are people running for fork/shock oil these days? 6/24/2019 9:28 AM

See I was always reserved to use the Amsoil in the shock because the VI is rather low as compared to other options. VI is around 200 and the cSt values put the oil in about a 5w category vs a 2.5-3wt like you would look for in a moto shock fluid. I’m ... more »

I like the Pro Honda HP5 or Maxima racing Fork fluid 85/150(blue label) for any brand of forks. KYB 01 is great Fork oil and what a lot of the big tuners use but it’s a little on the pricey side for me. Maxima racing shock fluid (pink label) is great ... more »

Increasing fuel across the board may help his decel pop issues but will more than likely affect the feel of his map as it will no longer be the TP map. Could lose a little power feel here or there with a richer setting. It’s unknown if he’s running the ... more »

The stock green coupler would handle it fine. When I had my 2016 KX250f I liked the white coupler for all situations and I never got any overly lean conditions while running it so either one should be fine.
