I listened to this the other day. Very cool to hear DC and his family talk about how it all started. It reminded me of some documentaries I've watched on the History Channel. Really neat and different for a moto related pod. Really enjoyed it.

Added reply in a thread 125 2 stroke or 250f for a kind of beginner? 7/19/2018 6:25 AM

I recommend a 125 2 stroke to any newbie no matter the age (18+ that is). The 125 is easier to start off on then a 250 2 stroke and is cheaper to buy and maintain then a 250f. Also, even an experienced rider can hop on a 125 and have a blast so its not ... more »

One could argue that Matthes being so forthright has actually made his career in this sport, not cost him connections or access.

lol Congrats on Matthes making you famous

Doesn't Malcolm also say that he 100% loves the outdoors?.... Would love to see Dungey race again, but I really doubt it. Nothing in his interviews points to him making a comeback at all. Hope I'm wrong though.

He said he wanted it to be cheap and that is the most expensive solution haha

Added reply in a thread Inexpensive lap timer? 7/17/2018 10:55 AM

I am thinking of making a "timing gate" that uses photoelectric sensors and an Arduino microcontroller to log my laps at my house. Be around $50 to and some time to make, but would be highly accurate and I could also connect a large display so that i ... more »

What kind of moto head chooses to live in a city? I dont think local dealerships should try to open up their own track, but instead just put more support to local racing and tracks. That dealer mentioned above that pays for people whom bought bikes from ... more »

O was it that hot? I didnt think it felt that hot, especially compared to last year, my bad.

High Point was only in the low 80s I believe. It was definitely worse last year. The brutal sand and high temperatures could make things interesting. I would think Baker boys would have the best advantage...

Yea, most on here probably think modeling just means pulling up AutoCAD and doing some sketches with physical dimensions. There is a lot more to it then that. There is a big difference between an engineer and a designer/drafter. There is a reason it ... more »

Added reply in a thread RacerX/Weege podcast with Barcia 6/27/2018 7:59 AM

That one was really good too. I preferred Bogle's only because of the deep conversation regarding the risk involved with moto, and the irrational desire to keep doing it anyway.

Ah ok. Im a YSU grad. And I never saw him state how much deviation a motor had. He quoted pit bits, written by GuyB. Here was the quote: "After the engine problems the GEICO Honda team guys had at High Point, the team went through a top-to-bottom review ... more »

Havn't listened to the Barcia pod yet, but the Bogle one was great. His audio isnt the greatest, but he really gets in depth. Never really had an opinion on Bogle as I never knew much about him, but after listening to Weege's pod I am a big fan. Seems ... more »
